Looking at getting in to cycling, don’t know to much about bikes but don’t want to go all out on the first one. Just wanted to get thoughts on this and see what people think it’s worth? Also if anyone would know the tyre clearance?
Cheers.

Hi!
I always say a good bike is one you’ll ride. You might want to ask the owner to give it a spin around the block to make sure you are comfortable on the geometry. As for the components and brand, these are a bit older but nothing wrong with them. They will be easier and cheaper to replace and fix. As for tire diameter it looks like you’ll be able to get 28mm tires on there. Again that’s not bad. The older folks will tell you 23mm used to be wide. Now a days new bikes can get 35mm on. Again it’s all preference to what you are going to do. If you are looking for a bike to get in shape or get around this is a good choice.
