  1. I’m 5’11 and ride 53cm (C-C) on the KHS Flite 100 – which is nearly identical geometry

  2. Are the measurements official from Mercier?

I’m 5’11 and ride 56-58cm bikes. I’ve ridden some 55cm track frames before and the toe overlap is insane. Just seems weird that 55cm is rated for 6’0 + riders.

I am skeptical of these measurements but I would go for 55cm frame size.

  3. I have the 57cm frame and am 6’ and always wish I sized down. The top tube length is long so I had to put a super short stem on it—I have a short torso proportional to my legs. I would size down

I would suggest the 53, since it measures 56.
The easiest way to ensure it will fit you is to compare geometry of a know bike that fits you well. I based my Mash sizing off my best fitting bike – which happens to be my smallest, my 54 S5. Without a setback seatpost I ended up ordering a second stem, from 90-110, which will have it within 1/8” and halfway between my gravel bike and the S5 for a seat to handlebar measurement. Everything else matches the S5 perfectly and that was all from comparison of geometry online.

If you don’t have that option, I’d recommend a good bike fit, then you can base your future bikes off of that. I tweak things here and there to get it to my liking, but very subtle changes and only one thing at a time.

Generally it’s a better idea to size down than up. You can easily correct a little too small bike with saddle height and a longer stem, while it’s very complicated to make a too big bike properly fit you, and even then it won’t feel right.

Depends on your body proportions. I’m around the same height. I have short legs and a long torso, so I have to run a smaller size frame and a long stem. With this geo id go 53cm also.

  7. I had a 53 and LOVED it. I’m 6’ and loved how nimble it was. I could throw it all over the place. I have a larger size now and am so much more clunky on it.

  8. As a 5’11 person, get the 55, I’ve ridden too many “53s” to know those head tubes are very small & result in a more agro position, I rock for work a 55cm Sputnik with 56cm tt & still using a 110mm stem
