I was gifted with this fox 32 shock and trying to figure out how am I to install this on my front stock wheel. Do I have to get a new wheel/hub? Or I can just remove the nut (circled in red) in the hub.. not really sure what do and I wanna gets some pointers or advice first before I do some stupid things.. I’m new to mountain bikes… and i got specialized rockhopper. Thanks!

That’s a 9mm quick-release hub on your front wheel and a 15mm thru-axle on the fork, they’re not compatible. At minimum you’ll need a new hub. YMMV on whether or not it’s more cost-effective to buy a whole new wheel or have someone lace you up a new wheel with the rim you’ve got there and a 15mm hub.
The fork is a modern thru-axle fork, and the wheel is old school 9 millimeter quick release, and they do not play together as is. Some hubs are convertible to thru-axle, but that’s about as much as I know. There are numerous other factors involved here and my best advice to you would be to go to a competent bike shop for a full assessment.
That suspiciously looks like a 26” fork shown next to your 29” wheel.
There are a lot of things that need to match up, or it’s just not going to work. Is it a 29’r fork? Does your wheel have swappable end caps to allow a thru-axel? Is the steerer tube cut long enough to fit your frame and the spacers and stem you currently have? Is the frame you have designed for a suspension fork? Do the brakes you have match the mount on the fork? This is probably a job for a shop if you don’t know the answers (or what the questions mean).
Is it a 2013/14 recalled fork ? 🤔

I’m not sure how common this is for mountain bike wheels, but I’ve got a set of road wheels where you can take the cap off and replace it with a different type – e.g. mine came set up for quick release and I’ve ordered new caps for thru axle. Worth checking if company that made your wheels have something similar.
Also it is worth swapping the old crown race off the old fork to go on the new fork. This will ensure your bearing interface matches up.
Do you guys also advice getting those Quick release to axle-thru conversion? I’m thinking about just getting those instead of new front wheel and also i don’t have to deal with mismatch wheels

The steerer is cut very short too, make sure you can actually get it in your frame
Looking at that axle, with the locknuts on the axle, it is most likely a ball-and-cone bearing setup. That cannot be converted to a 15mm thru-axle. Make sure the fork is a 29’er fork as well – looks kinda short for that. Could be 27.5 specific
