Hi all, I had a misaligned brake pad and I think the rubbing caused the seam on my front tire to split which resulted in a small gash on the inner tube and an immediate flat. I’ve since fixed the brake pad alignment but is this still safe to ride or should I replace the entire tire?
Thanks!

Use a 1 dollar (or similar) bill to create an internal wall l. Will last a bit longer.
Honestly if it were my bike and I saw that I would deflate the tyre a bit and walk to work that day.
100 PSI is high pressure. If you can’t set the tyre pressure by measuring trying to squeeze a Brompton tyre then imagine the force that is on the side of that tyre. Now imagine you sitting on it and going into a pothole. It can or maybe not burst open and I wouldn’t want this to happen when on the bike or if you are standing next to it.
I have a slight form tinnitus and I have experienced a tyre that blew next to me. Never again I hope.
Hence my telling everyone to get a outside tyre as a spare as well.
For the small price and piece of mind please replace it.
Change it and if you can afford it get a spare too.
New tire. That bubble will eventually balloon out and burst. Happened to me before.
