Västgötaleden is a bike route in western Sweden, Västergötland, or actually a network of bike routes. They lead you on small countryside roads through farmland and forests, to historical sights and small towns. This is the area where my thriller “Vikingaprinsessan” is set (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F00j7riZHpY). There is plenty of space for camping (see the “Right of public access” in the links below) and many lakes to swim in, as well as campites and other accomodation.
The video takes you on part of Västgötaleden on the western side of Lake Vättern to camping in the beautiful area of Hökensås and further to the lakeside town of Hjo and finally to the city of Skövde. The trip was about 100 km and well suited for a weekend excursion.

The western part of sweden has a good network of bike routes roads and train lines you can bring your bike on the regional trains and camping for one night is allowed pretty much everywhere it’s usually good weather well maybe not every month but summer is nice and never too hot in humid

This trip starts with camping in hawkins house which is a pine forested area with about 50 lakes and then continues to the queen town jew and finally to the city of gupta Do Do Do Do Oh The route vehicle goes mainly on small roads and takes you through countryside forests and into smaller towns it’s well marked but it’s long between shops and restaurants so you’d better bring some food and snacks So So The trip ended with a bit of rain but was still very nice it’s time to get home on the train so see on another trip You
