Hello! I was wondering if anyone had an idea on how to fix this? Its a Felt Broam 60 gravel bike. So i last had my front brakes serviced 220ish miles ago and its now having issues with braking in the front again. I’m not used to working with these kinds of brakes so I’m unsure how to go about fixing it. I appreciate the time y’all take to help me out!

If it helps, i rode it a total of 1,814 miles total. So not sure why the brakes were fine for 1,600ish, were replaced, and are now dog water
– Check the pads, make sure they still have some meat on them
– Undo the bolt that holds the cable to the caliper and pull out any slack in the cable (you don’t have to go too crazy here, just a gently tug)
– usually calipers have some sort of adjustment mechanism to move the brake pads in as they wear, if your pads have this, adjust the non-moving side first the the moving side. Get them as close as possible without rubbing the caliper when not braking
– if your shifters have some sort of cable pull adjustment, try to adjust it so it allows for more cable pull
Since those are cable pull disc brakes, the cause is very likely too much slack in the cable. Fully turn in the barrel adjuster (if it exists), undo the bolt that holds the cable in place, pull the cable tight and redo the bolt. If the brakes are still weak, back out the barrel adjuster.
It’s completely normal for the cable to stretch and the level pull to get weaker. That’s why a lot of people including myself don’t like cable pull disc brakes.
Cable slack, double check pads and alignment. Also be careful after you adjust them might be a bit twitchy. Note mechs are always going to have this issue over time.
Is that the cable head poking out the top of the lever body?
