There’s plenty of beautiful mountains in Bosnia and Herzegovina and it’s very hard to pick the most beautiful one. But, if pressed down, I would always choose Mt. Prenj.
From the Wikipedia: Prenj is a mountain range in the Dinaric Alps, located in eastern Herzegovina near towns of Mostar, Jablanica and Konjic. The highest peak is Zelena glava at 2,115 m (6,939 ft).
Prenj massif has at least 11 peaks over 2000 m.
Notable peaks are Zelena Glava (2115 m), Lupoglav (2102 m), Otiš (2097 m), Herač (2046 m), Osobac (2030 m) and Velika Kapa (2007 m).
One of the peaks of Prenj, Windy Peak, was climbed first time in October 2003. It is probably one of Europe’s last virgin 2000 m peak.
That day, we chose the route from Ruište (the side from Mostar) and climbed all the way up to the highest peak, Zelena glava.
