  1. trek is over priced and sirrus is okay price. if you want casual or ;fitness the sirrus will work. if you want to do eventually do longer rides (40+ miles) you should look into a road bike.

that said, do the sizes fit? hybrids and road bikes have different geometries and the sizes don’t translate 1:1 (a rider that is large for a road bike could fit a medium).

  2. Just so you know the trek has a stem extender on it, which you may love or hate.

I’d consider purchasing both, but i’d definitely pick up the Sirrus to customize. It’s begging for some Alt bars. (Assuming it works properly, can’t tell that from photos)

  3. Sirrus is good enough for 5 to 10 miles and around town.

[2013 Trek](https://99spokes.com/bikes/trek/2013/1.2-h2-compact) if you want to ride 25+ miles. Entry level Sora components so somewhere under $300 would be better. Looks well kept or maybe low miles. You can remove the steering tube extender to bring the handlebars back down to a normal level. With the handlebars and seat up that high it looks like it may have been a well over 6 foot tall rider riding the bike that was too small for them.
