Great first effort. Sounds like you started to "HOT" and didn't allow the Cod Loins to fully warm up. I do that on my 10mile time trial efforts. I have to calm my skin down for the first 5 mins or so.

Amy, this great!. Here in America, they don’t get it. I bought a Single Gear Track bike, for the same purpose. Intending to race around the oval, at the local school, all by lonesome.
Instead of more GoPro batteries get the GoPro pass through door and a powerbank. That'll give you hours of recording, an Anker 13,000mah pb will let you record for around 10 hours.
Currently off the bike due to a crash and I've dislocated my shoulder ,I miss riding, thinking about trying crit racing , what's the lowest and what's the highest category , I'd definitely be in the lowest but looks like fun
I Think a 60 km road race with a climb in it might be better for you than a crit any way good luck im shouting for you Amy no matter what 3;24 ok i watch you race now carbs and more carbs two hours to go.
You may have come last Amy but I would put a very big wadge of cash on the table that non of them could outride you on distance !!!
