There is probably an 8 (or maybe 6) mm hex on the back side of the spindle.

Not sure exactly what Iβm looking at, but if thatβs a non-drive side pedal spindle (the left foot pedal) the threads turn backward. So clockwise to loosen.

The left side pedal is reverse thread

IT COMES OFF TOWARDS THE BACK OF THE BIKE REGARDLESS OF WHICH PEDAL IT IS, SO MAKE SURE IT’S TURNING THAT WAY!!
