I got my carbon fork cut at the LBS. When testing different stem heights I noticed some light superficial scratches around the steerer. Should I worry about these and get that checked again?

No, they’re fine. The steerer can get scratched when inserting/removing stems that are a bit too tight, but it’s nothing to worry about.
That is aluminum, it is fine.
