Let’s see if we can figure it shouldn’t be too hard what we got then so as you can see we’ve got a throttle actuator Bank One malfunction cylinder six glow plug which I wouldn’t really thought it’s going to cause any sort of issue at idol worry about that one we’ve got throttle vales

Stuck or difficult to move and the F Valve controller malfunction right so there is fult goes then so let’s fight a car up and we’ll show you what it’s doing it’s the weirdest thing ever I’ve never heard one do out like this so let’s get it started

Base so I’ll start I’ll turn this to a voice over so initially what we were thinking were is this a vacuum solenoid issue know like the n75 valve um because we can see EGR cooler pulsing on and off but then at corner my eye I also noticed

That the turbo actuator is is pulsing on and off now that’s electronic actuated not of vacuum so kind of rules AR anything to do with n75 uh is very very strange like I say it is giving us a throttle body fault but we don’t always take fault codes for gospel because they

Can lead you down guarden path sometimes um but in this case it looks like we might actually have an issue with that so in a second we’re going to whip that off and we’re going to we’re going to check it um see if it’s gunked up with

Carbon EGR valves can Gunk them up with carbon and make them sticky and all sorts but uh also you can have the plastic teeth internally are gear driven so they can Shear off all sorts of stuff uh but yeah I we’re not going to chase any vacuum issues anything at the moment

Next step we will be to get this throttle body in our hands and let’s have a look at what we’re actually dealing with looks like it’s only three bolts should be nice and easy three bolts Jubilee clip should have this off in 15 minutes if That right so we got it off and worryingly it does look that mcky to be honest it look looks quite clean compared to normal it’s quite clean that o oh yeah some’s definitely not right getting stuck and there’s barely any resistance on it how I feel it’s not a

Smooth stuck look that stuck look yeah yep so we’ve got a mechanical problem with that so next step we I know open it up and have a quick look what’s inside here we know what’s going to be wrong in here don’t we yeah get this cover off going have some smooth tee

We’re going to have some broken plastic gears but we’ll uh we’ll take it off and double check i’ had this before on several other cars mainly Mark 5 go yeah had that petrol one as well same 6 re so yeah expecting to see broken plastic gears in here

His fault so we’ll get another one of these ordered uh a quick followup video when it’s done and fitted running job well done Carlos job well done so we’ve got his new part now we’ve had a bit of a nightmare getting one of these for this a genuine one of these from

Dealer or from TPS is uh over 800 absolutely ridiculous but anyway we’ve managed to Source an aftermarket one for a dam sight cheaper than that so we’ll get this fitted up now and uh run as basic sets clear as fault codes and I’m pretty sure this will be completely fixed let’s get to

It We’ve got our vcds set up now just going to see if there’s any basic settings what need to be done sometimes when you do like a throttle flap whatever you have to do like a a basic setting so we’ve got ignition on let’s go in and clear as fault coach to start with

All them faults what we knew about raise them fault codes so basic settings have a look see if we got anything related to do it for all now run Inlet manif old runner motor no none of them is what we want don’t go back let’s just try

Adaption oh can’t see anything in there either so looks like possibly doesn’t need it stop setting it does like a self test I think no so that’s it then we’ll clear as fault codes we’ll road test vehicle and and uh see if we fix this fault so we’re back running again now completely
