Hi everyone! I’m currently looking to buy an used bike for touring and I would really love something like in this picture (internal gear hub with 7-8 speeds, hub dynamo for the lights, chainguard, lowered top tube, no front suspension etc.). But at the same time I’m wondering if I can take this kind of bike off-road. On my last tour I only cycled on paved roads, avoiding several shortcuts over dirt lanes. And I have a really nice forest near me with bike trails that I would love to ride on.
My question is, can I pull off riding trails on this bike? Nothing too extreme, just forest trails, unpaved country roads, gravel roads and such. I unfortunately don’t have the space for keeping two bikes.
