The first Bicester Scramble of 2024 in January was an absolute cracker. Join me as we see the great collection of cars on display!

A brown tester Rosser I hear you cry so this is an autobianchi a112 a relatively rare car in the UK um basically autobianchi was a joint venture between pelli uh Fiat motor company and bian the bicycle company and it was used as a bit of an an experiment

Laboratory for uh fat as well so initially they used it to try front wheel drive and some other features as well so here’s an interesting one to start with it’s an Audi 200 not the 100 but the 200 the more powerful 200 really rare to see these it’s the um quite

Goodlooking Avant estate version not necessarily a full estate in terms of there are some compromises in terms of the uh design and the backend treatment let’s have a look around the back but really great to see that here today I haven’t seen one of those for for a long

Time I don’t think there’s so many that um are still around on UK roads so E39 BMW is as nice as this M5 must be pretty thin on the ground these days I don’t if the the camera picks it up but the condition of this vehicle is is

Absolutely amazing um it’s got a brilliant brilliant uh tan colored interior and also it’s even got if you can still pick it up there but it’s got the BMW telephone which was an option at the time I that one still works it’s a a manual oh what a fabulous looking car

Though based on the B3 Audi 80 shell is this lesser known and seen Audi 90 it’s the 2.3 l I’m pretty sure that’s a five cylinder I think the only version of the 80 if you want to call it that that had that this one’s a Japanese import

Because I can see the Japanese uh dealers uh sticker on the back you AC see that’s a beauty isn’t it that one what a condition that’s in a lovely example of a Mercedes w123 this one’s a two 200 it’s got the early lights I think they the lights changed it’s um

1980 on a v i guess these came out in probably 77 um brilliant condition absolutely brilliant that’s a beauty isn’t it so from the early days of Sab is is Sab 95 rather than 95 that which was used later um obviously benefiting from the aerodynamics developed for the

Aerospace industry this one’s got the uh the V4 uh the V4 was the engine that was abil licensed from Ford Europe in actual fact and used in things like the Corsair this one’s a lovely example and uh you really don’t see too many of those around now from the joint type four

Platform the Fiat chroma and the S 9000 also came the very very pretty Alpha 164 and that looks and sounds an absolute treat so back in the late ‘ 80s early ’90s getting you up that executive ladder might just qualify you for a Cavalier Mark I in Diplomat form this

Had got all the bells and whistles it’s a 2 L 8 valve version it’s actually for sale so if you want to give me a ring just P pause the video uh Ian’s contact names on there um and it’s in absolutely lovely lovely condition honestly that’s

One of the cars I’d love to add to my classic car collection so from the early days of Chris bangal design career is this fat Coupe that he designed before he joined BMW relatively seldom seen these days this one is the normally aspirated 5 cylinder engine I think in turbocharge

Format that engine was the same one that was used in the Lancia Delta integral I must say it’s a very very pretty car that one in that color isn’t it whatever size of Audi quatro you looking for be it the long one or a shorter one I’m not

Sure that’s original or a shortened uh sport uh We’ve we’ve got them for you and if you don’t want one of the AI quatros maybe we can interest you in a lovely mark one dog bone Grill escort Mexico absolutely fantastic so back in the day uh right towards the end the

Production the e30s were being pushed pretty hard to allow for the E36 to be launched which was a real uh real change in Direction This is a late car it is the 318 I looks got lots of detail features uh the owner was explained to me um things like uh instrumentation

Slightly different the strip down the side absolutely beautiful coloring glacia blue isn’t it what a lovely car so the alpha Julia 1. 3 TI has a really cult following not all of these met their fate on the Italian jobs here I’ve been watching too many uh films over the

Christmas period but this one is a well-used well-loved example that’s seen quite a bit of action so celebrating her 40th birthday last year was the Austin Maestro massive glass area on this car really was um quite a step change and unbelievably it replaced the Allegro you can’t believe

It was from the Allegro to this in one fou swoop but yeah uh an absolutely lovely looking mg Maestro so this is a hyper car joined um jointly developed by Aston Martin and Red Bull design I think Adrian newu is involved it’s the Aston Martin Valkyrie um built to almost

Formula 1 specifications some incredible features look at that splitter at the front we’ll take a look around the car absolutely incredible the arrow that the car’s got yeah it’s um it’s truly special and uh absolutely road legal just look at some of the um details on those lights at the

Back that is absolutely incredible isn’t it yeah if you got the got the budget for a hyper car that’s probably the one to have isn’t it you really aren’t going to see too many of these it’s a Subaru Brat so highly prized by farmers and others back

In the day Subaru really were the pioneers of uh passenger car four-wheel drive arguably and the offshoot of this was his extremely useful pickup with the unusual name of brat now these are highly prized a lot of them rotted away not too many of these left but as a

Saying goes those that no know that this is a very very useful and rare vehicle now it’s difficult to believe that it’s 26 years ago that this uh early voxhall Astra I think markv would have rolled off the production line it’s a 1988 car what makes this one special it was the

Original Motor Show car that was on the voxo stand at the motor show that year and in actual fact it was also featured a lot of the brochures and what a great condition it is in a few years from now we’ll be wondering what happened to all

Of these but this particular one’s been preserved in absolutely great order we’ll take a look around the back I think from every angle it’s uh it certainly wears its years very very well doesn’t it that’s lovely so this is what happens when the Japanese go after the four-wheel drive

Market as they did their version of The Defender the cruiser BJ Cruiser but this one’s a bit different it’s fitted with a Lexus V8 I think the car originally I’m not sure if it originally came from um uh outside the UK but it’s a right-and drive car so that would limit the

Options wouldn’t it really and it’s called project St Joan wow they’ve done an immense job with that haven’t they absolutely immense so the Porsche 914 was a joint ven show with Volkswagen I think mainly for the American Market this is a touring version of the Porsche the 9146

I think only about 34 or five of these were built in sort of uh fully Factory um touring or race versions but this one’s uh an evocation built to the same specifications and uh that’s a spectacular looking car widened front and rear Track by the look of it as well with those

Archers so hands up I’m a bit of a sucker for any 28 BMW and and this one is stunning isn’t it it’s badged m I suspect it’s the m535i rather than the Full House M5 looking at the interior I could be wrong it’s got the original uh konk BMW um

Number plates on there looks an absolutely super looking car got the old Hoff me ink soall in the rear window yeah there’s uh a lot to be said for one of those they’re great aren’t they so I hope you enjoyed the cars we’ve seen so far at the January bu scramble

Plenty more to come however just a quick reminder if you could uh also subscribe to the channel if you haven’t done so already it would be really really appreciated helps the channel grow and helps us bring a lot more content like this and also a few more products to the

Channel this year as well so uh thanks in advance for that so this is the series 2 XJ body but it’s the damler version so with the series 2 the bumper was pushed up a bit higher to cope with us crass regulations versus the series one which had been launched back in I

Think 1968 well this particular one’s a 3.4 Auto and it’s for sale and uh it’s in typically a 70 color what’s that sang glow probably lime flow something like I’m not sure what the official BL color is but you’re not sure you buy your jagar in that color today would you but

Proudly sporting its Bread Van styling is this lovely 199 8 Alpha 145 twin spark and these are hen’s teeth to be honest with you really looks like a small car these days just shows how much cars have grown got that interesting rear window treatment this is obviously the um 146 was the five

Door version but this is clearly the three quite a useful hatch at the back goes right the way down to the bumper what a sight to see one of these here today I don’t see too many of these at shows so it looks like the tuning house

Tolman have also got their hands on a Lancia Delta integral this lovely pisant white example has had the uh Tolman spanners over it I’m not quite sure what they’ve done to it if I find out I’ll try and pop it on screen afterwards but nevertheless it’s a beautiful example

And uh what an incredible car I drove one of these uh about just over a year ago uh on the channel and Honestly made a hugee impression on me so check out that video if you can so M sport run by Malcolm Wilson X rally Champion himself have prepared the

Uh prepared the Ford rally cars and previously I think they’re running pumers at the moment this is the uh Fiesta they ran it’s the full Championship spec no shortage of light bars in there got the obligatory roof scoop to get a bit of air flow into the

Car all air conditioning w’t be on there I imagine Ah that’s a monster isn’t it can you imagine driving that on the road that wouldn’t be a comfortable ride home but what an absolute beast on a special rally stage that it looks immense doesn’t it so this 105 series Alpha

Scena a bit of fettling it’s got those lovely gold wheels on it the Arches have been widened by the look of it as well apart from the paint it looks like a serious competition machine with a semi or full cage in there some bucket seats yeah it looks like you could have an

Awful lot of fun in that one doesn’t it it’s hard to believe this um Audi TT was uh translated from a concept car to a production car virtually unchanged over 25 years ago this is a beautiful imole Yellow Version it’s the higher power version there was a 180 and a 225

And this is the uh arguably more desirable 225 version normally you uh can check with the the back of these the 225s got the uh twin exhaust yes this one has and the 18 18 just a single one lovely I can’t imagine too many people here have seen a brown tester before I’m

Sure it’s got a lovely name for the color but yet it’s brown absolutely incredible isn’t it fans of Miami Vice eat your heart out they only had to to condem with a white one now if you notice those gills on the side aren’t aerodynamic related apparently they are

Related to crash requirements for the US markets otherwise those vents would be completely open in the later cars um the early cars had a single um uh mirror on the side the later cars had two and they were lower down the first cars the mirror was much much

Higher up the uh the pillar what an incredible looking car isn’t it nice to see an original as it was designed Porsche 928 this is a v so I guess 1980 um car was launched in 78 was car of the year in 78 believe it or not can

You believe the sort of uh super car like this I guess as a car of the year it’s a rightand drive car so it looks like it’s probably a UK car or possibly South African but uh no spoilers on the back those telephone dial Wheels not

Sure if you can pick it out that psychedelic Porsche interior trim they had back in the day wow so this is an Aston Martin V8 that was rebodied late in life by zagato it’s almost Unrecognizable what the base car is but zagato did an absolutely incredible job on the car and as I say I defy you to uh to recognize the uh car without a bit of assistance the base car incredible those strip rear lights that very heavily um changed roof profile what for racing

Helmets who knows but um absolutely immens looking car not full windows just opening um sliding Windows there and the all important zagato badge so as Volkswagen developed the original Carman gear off the Beetle chassis this Edge was developed off the type3 saloon chassis to give them the same lift that the um

Carman gear had this one’s been subtly modified it looks beautiful if you like green or gold you’re in the right place here it looks absolutely immense and you can see why that styling is socalled Razor Edge style in particularly at the front what a lovely lovely looking

Car so whil this Channel’s not all about supercars sometimes you just got to stop and look and linger at something like this it’s a Ferrari 365 uh GB Berlin box so one of the first of the wedge shaped cars I think designed by pinin finina uh took over from the dayto owner and

Marked a change of Direction in terms of styling and isn’t that immense I mean honestly that is a very very pretty car introduced in I think 86 was the xj40 generation real step change for Jaguar uplift in terms of quality and a change in styling this one’s a later car so a

93 coming towards the back end of production and it benefits from the sports kit I think Tom wkins so might have had something to do with the uh Sports kit on this one um it does look nice in that red color and certainly the sports kit changes really changes the appearance quite

Radically those different bumpers and those different wheels so a shout out to Oxford University’s Motorsports um foundation and one of their members looks like they brought on this fabulous Hilman imp it’s a relatively late one it’s an n 75 produced in lywood by Chrysler um rear engined got that quite unique hatch at

The back so ahead of its time beset with cooling issues unfortunately with Labor Relations at the factory could have been so much more because um as a car and as a design it could have really worked well but unfortunately it wasn’t to be so singer are known for modifying

Porsches and this one’s no exception this this one takes it quite to an extreme it looks like it comes with its own um Lego kit of optional accessories you can dress it up as you want we’ve got uh what looks like the rear um spoiler element there we’ll have a look

Over here we’ve got a set of fresh tires we’ve got a different singer front end um the back end well I’m not quite sure about what’s going on at the back end there does it look like it’s just crashed through Halford’s I don’t know uh comments please on that one so in

Hanger 113 at B Heritage they’re celebrating the European car of the year award and believe it or not it’s celebrating a 60th birthday and this Rover 2000 this model was the very first car to win that Award with its um revolutionary design quite a very safe car for the period Bolton panels it

Really was um way ahead of its time and that is the first award winner so so Nick I’m here with Nick Dunning who owns this fabulous P6 now this was the first car to win the European car of the year award it was quite a revolutionary

Car back in the day wasn’t it yes very much brand new at the time it was launched um which is the interesting thing is how much it was evaluated to become Car of the Year yes it was it was like a space rocket when it was came out

And it was a it even retained that image 10 years later with the base unit and the detachable panels but I wonder how much it cuz the they rushed this into production and I wonder how much they really drove it wow that’s incredible isn’t it because this one is

A year in and has got a lot of refinement on it and is but still has some of the really eccentric bits that the strip Speedo you’ve got which R till 1977 so okay in in that guys but you’ve got a lot of bits on this car that

Didn’t last and they cardboard dashboard that to Pieces right okay I’ll be I’ll be gentle with that black button on the handbrake which cracks and disappears you know all sorts of stuff so it’s uh it was a very much a work in progress and launched in a hurry the Rover 2000

Probably a year before it should have been and you’re you’re Keen to get more information about this the car the year European car of the year award we’ve um been asked I’ve been asked to help get some research in about the car Year award because despite having a lot of archived material

I don’t have anything really tangible for that car of the year award and he just been talking about the fact that the uh the trophy must still exist and probably is at jlr yes well if anybody knows the whereabouts of that trophy or it’s in your your wardrobe or your back

Bedro but by all means contact me and I’ll uh we’ll let Nick know about that wouldn’t that be fantastic to see yes it would to reunite the uh the car and trophy together because I’m sure it still ex somewhere the clubs would like to make a quite a deal of this this year

And particularly getting towards the NEC in November and have a car of the year themed stand um at the moment we’re not getting that so 60 years is quite quite an anniversary isn’t it so that’s something let’s try and see if we can uh the club celebrate yes that would be

Good excellent thank you very much thank you very much Nick thank you you so credited with being one of the very first hatchback is this very revolutionary at the time Renault 16 Fab fabulous fabulous soft ride to these cars this is a um 16ts from uh what 71 by the look of it

On a j plater again um hard to believe how far ahead of its time that that actually was launched unbelievably in 1967 is this futuristically designed NSU row 80 now unfortunately the car wasn’t a commercial success some issues with the row tips uh on the early cars which has

Long since been overcome having issues and causing huge warranty claims which bought the um the company NSU to its knees and eventually uh became what we now known as Audi some great features on this car the style in particular but the operation of the clutch is just simply

By moving the gear lever um you move the gear lever and it engages the clutch so I guess just pressure on there there’s no Button as such the only tells me this is an original ukuk Supply car coming from brist Street Motors wow that is incredible isn’t

It so here we’ve got a 7778 fat 128 not many Survivor not many in this condition I’m pretty sure this is owned or has been owned by a father and now the son from memory I may have seen this car before at previous shows it is in stunning stunning condition as you can

See here unbelievably a super car the Porsche 928 won the award in 1978 this is a later car I think a series 4 car but uh yeah it it uh took the award away in the late ’70s the Lancia Delta shown here in HF turbo format one in standard format I think it

Was a xaro design I think launched in 1980 or 79 or 80 I’ll uh I’ll check but um very clean design and obviously the one that would go on to spawn the uh rally bread into gralley so this was the car that really put the coefficient of drag into modernday vocabulary this with

A a CD Factor something like 0.3 which is Revolution at the time is the Audi 100 what a fabulous car this is you can see the attention to detail in terms of drag look at those very uh flush fitting side windows there and front window a really slippery shape and to be honest

With you these are um becoming becoming a modern classic if they’re not already far more so than the uh Audi’s that followed it in my opinion so next up we’ve got the lovely 405 GTX and I’ve got a soft spot for these I had two of them as company cars

Back in the day um this is a pre-facelift car as we’ll see in a second very very pretty cars pinning finina designed very very comfortable interior I must say the interior quality perhaps wasn’t quite as good on the early cars but um absolute pleasure to drive this is an

Auto those seats are super super comfortable and what distinguishes the early cars like this one is you can see that it had the much higher loading lip here and had the plastic panel beneath the rear lights so it was a bit awkward for loading but honestly uh in terms of

Appearance I must admit that I do like the uh preface lift cars that’s a beauty isn’t it well it’s to me anyway now if you thought citron’s idiosyncratic period had stopped years ago they managed to squeeze this one in first and this also was an award winner it’s the

XM so this is a what 9192 car that wedge shape sold as a um a hatchback and also as an estate version what a quirky executive ch choice that would make back in the ’90s that lovely lovely interior single spoke wheel this one’s an automatic quite a fair bit of space in the

Back and that incredible wedge shaped design with that Kink halfway or sort of 3/4 of the way down the car what an incredible car sat down on its hydron numatic suspension at the moment but uh they really are something else aren’t they another return to Fortune for a manufacturer was Alpha with

This6 suddenly Alpha had a massive hit on the hands they had the very very pretty6 brilliant attention to detail in terms of styling this lovely lovely interior lovely leather interior um features like the door handle um is built into the um uh the window uh the window surround here so

Really clean looking design and what a fabulously pretty car they are aren’t they a deserving deserving winner stung by criticism of the last escort fed really up their game with this car with the control blade suspension they defined new levels of rid and handling with the focus this is a very early car

It’s an S plated 988 I think that was launch year see very few s’s around this one I believe is an LX the first cars were not badged it was a a decision by Ford not to badge the cars with the model uh grade eventually that was

Changed and you can only really telling the early cars by the wheel trims so I’m assuming this is an LX I drove one of these I think back in 99 for the first time and it blew me away honestly this is truly a future Classic Ford now worthwhile successor to the I

Think zaro designed original is the Fiat Panda this is the 100 horsepower 100 horsepower in a little car like that um is makes it for Fairly entertaining driving I’ve uh haven’t driven one yet so if you got one you want to lend me I’ve heard they drive very well although

The ride’s a bit harsh but um another worthy winner from a past year so it took until the E60 generation for BMW to bring the M5 touring to the UK with its absolutely mental V10 engine uh one of these was store by the guys on Drive

Tribe so uh check out that because the cost in running and maintaining one of these cars is immense but they are incredibly quick this one’s been used as a proper estate car by the look of it and I believe this one might even belong to Chris Harris not sure about that one

Chris if you’re watching let me know it’s also seldom that you get to see a very early citen CX this is a palas not sure that was the extended wheelbase I don’t think it was my God this car was so far ahead of its time it’s got that single wiper blade but

It’s got that rotating instrument binacle I remember my uh dad had one of those and it was like being transported in a spaceship Fair bit of room in the side I remember them as as really comfortable family transport at the time and you certainly stood at in the

Executive car park car park if you’d uh gone for one of those you I think this 740 series vol originally planned to replace the 240 series um but an actual fact the 240 continue for a few more years this is what an an 89 registered car uh I’ll

Check whether it’s a four-cylinder one let’s have a look around the back and see which one it is it is a 740 GLE so it’s the 4-cylinder car what an incredible shape I think really aiming at the American Market but just makes them stand out so much these days don’t they aova

Vitess wow that is what an 8485 car got those lovely BBS style gold and chrome wheels on it these this Ferrari Daytona front end I think David back had quite a lot to do with the design of this if not he was the lead designer there is a lot to like about

These put all the stories to one side just think about how it looks for a second and doesn’t it have a massive amount of Road presence even now as viewers of the channel will know I have a bit of a soft spot for an E36 BMW this

Is just it’s a 4cylinder 316 highbrid it is a manual now interesting enough when they launched these the price gap between the 316i with 100 horsepower and the 318i with um 150 horsepower was £1,000 which was quite a lot on a car which is about 15,000 ,000 or something in that order I

Think the only really difference was a um an additional anti- roll bar on the 318i nevertheless I think they are personally quite attractive Vehicles now I know this car it’s a w21 Mercedes 190 not the E it’s the carbara version it’s in fabulous fabulous order I think the owners chronicled the um

History of this car uh online and it’s got an unbel aable it’s showing 29,000 M on the clock honestly it looks incredible in this sort of German Ivory beige it’s in really good order so shout out to to you with that one well it says tax paid so we’ll have

To take his word for it but this is uh a Karina 2 from what 8990 again from the early days um of Toyota not very early days but certainly before they became a volume player and had UK manufacturing proving slightly rarer than hen’s teeth and holy Grails is yes a citan

Visa pop it in the comments when you last saw one of these it’s even got the faux orange triangle in the middle what a lovely period feature that is what an incredible little car these were I suspect this one’s been on hubnut as well so it’s a 14 TRS oh we’re quite

A way up the range great to see that still badged as Metro not yet Rob 100 and towards the end of the life of the vehicle is this m what’s that 94 Rover um Metro and uh it’s the GTA now the GTA was the warm hatch version of it there was the GTI

Which is um we don’t see too many we don’t actually see that many GTA to tell you the truth but it’s lovely to see that one here today and it’s in great Nick as well isn’t it pretty standard looking car so this is a stud Baker lar

Stud Baker a brand that was defunct from 1967 uh so this is a relativ late K 63 with these Indiana plates and given an a registration plate for the UK uh this lck model promised it would have the admiration of other motorists and uh all

Those who would ride in it well I’m not sure about that one that that person doesn’t look too inamed do they maybe they’ve been there too long but uh incredible to see that actually not such a big car compared to European cars as other American cars of the

Period to be honest with you you’d mistake that for potentially European or Australian car from a distance although badge fat this actually the information that comes with the car said it’s a say 850 Coupe um it’s 34 horsepower propels the car to a heady 78 mph it claims um

But In fairness it’s it’s only 670 kilos there are probably some options on cars weigh more than 670 kilos now aren’t they absolutely lovely little white wall tires don’t always suit a car but they just seem to work on that one don’t they Fair bit of room inside shows how much

Uh passenger space hasn’t increased whereas dimensions of the cars have rear mounted engine what a little beauty that one is isn’t it so within a relatively short space of time of just over a year I think the guys at revs store team of people building Community sport really um

Aiming and supporting mental health have used the opportunity of restoring this fabulous 1975 series 3 Land Rover that was donated to them uh coming from the Forkland Islands uh the project basically had a budget of of almost nothing so uh uh hats off to the guys and girls who’ve supported this and the

Companies that have uh we’ll try and take a close look at it’s good a new canvas top there smells like a proper canvas top inside there team’s got quite a bit of work still to do with it but shout out to them if you want to support

Them I’ll stick their uh web uh site and contact details in there massive amount of um teamwork people have given up uh a weekend a month in some cases to try and support that so it’s not so uh not so long ago it’s been painted and they’ve

Done a great job I think that’s surf blue or something like that and here’s the shout out the Roll Call of the companies on the left who’ve supported it and the individuals on the right who’ve been part of that team so what a great great project that is so today the

BMW M1 is still the only mid-engined bmwm car many people will remember this car as BMW’s first toe in the water in terms of producing supercars and I think there was a um Formula 1 support series as well uh where Grand Prix drivers drove these or did I dream it put that

In the comments I’ll I’ll try and check that one out still an incredible piece of work isn’t it from BMW and I don’t really think BMW have equaled this maybe the only thing that comes close at the moment would be the uh I8 but uh what an incredible looking

Car so thanks again for watching me on lot 76 cars from the fabulous January B scramble of 2024 the first of many hope you’ve enjoyed the show today and uh some of the cars we’ve seen if you have please like share subscribe click on notifications to be informed of my next

Video and once again thanks for watching

  1. Thanks Simon, great to see so much in the cold weather, I was a t car & coffee meet the other day and the number that turned up broke records, even on such a cold day, fantastic turn out!

  2. The ch in Bianchi is pronounced k. When c is followed by i or e it's pronounced ch, but if there's an h in between as in "chi" "che" it's pronounced k. Same goes for g and gh, hence the pronounciation of Lamborghini.

  3. In Australia the name of that colour you were thinking of on the Series 2 Daimler was ‘Baby Shit Brown’. For some reason you can’t get that colour today…

  4. 3m quid singer crashed through Halfords. That’s the best comment I have heard. I really liked what Singer were doing, but they have become a bit meh!

  5. Wow, Audi 100 would be rare enough let alone a 200 Avant. The 90 looks great too, I always liked the 80 in period.
That MK3 Cavalier looks really tidy too.
The fiat coupe is a striking design but it's some of the smaller details like that fuel filler flap that really set it apart from the crowd.
Hard to believe the Maestro is four decades old, in hind sight a little ahead of the curve being a larger five door hatchback rather than a fastback or saloon.
I saw a Subaru BRAT last year, certainly not a common sight.
A Lexus V8 powered classic Toyota 4×4 is an interesting modification.
Porsche 914 is an interesting car being mid engined and one of many collaborative efforts with VW.
Love the Alfa 145 (and 146). I saw a base spec 145 1.6 out over Christmas.
The 512 Testarossa Monospecxio were the very early cars, I believe due to a misinterpretation of regulations. My pick would be either a later Testarossa or a 512TR. Sadly the last of the Testarossa (512M) were to heavily restyled for my liking.
Porche 928 still looks so fresh, must have look like something from the future I'm the 70's and 80:s.
I'd like to try a Hillmam Imp, always found them interactions.
That Singa looks very impressive. As does that P6, certainly more exciting than any recent car of the year.
The Renault 16 like the River really was an exciting new car that still cuts it today. The NSU and the XM still look.very cutting edge
I'd like to see all of those cars of the year in a stand at the NEC.
I remember the Alfa 156 launching and lived the modern interpretation of a classic saloon with those concealed door handles and instruments reminiscent of a Lamborghini Miura.
The offset front number plate took a bit more getting used to though.
Who doesn't love an SD1 vitesse, stunning car.
That E36 may be a 316 but at least it's got body colour bumpers, I knew someone who had one with grey bumpers in the 90's. I still think the E36 represent a sound investment as far as appreciating classics go.
Wow a Seat 850, really don't seem to see those at shows. I did see a Fiat lady year.
I don't think can recall having ever seen an M1 up close.

  6. The Delta Integrale used the Fiat Lampredi Twin-Cam 4 cylinder from the Croma, Thema, and the earlier Coupes… the first Delta Turbo was the 1.6 HF Turbo (FWD).

  7. Have to say . Very impressive coverage , a few mistakes but l don't think anyone knows it all !! The Series 2 Daimler is finished in Greensand . I had a Jaguar in that colour .The velour interior was only available in 3.4 form . However my 4.2 was a special order in velour for a local businessman's wife . She didn't want her pet dog to slip on leather !!! The Rover 2000 was actually cribbed from the Citroen DS . Rover bought one , smuggled it into the factory and the skeleton bodyshell with it's bolt on panels was copied . And the P6 was first used with the Rover gas turbine in 1961 .
