Hello!

Quick noob question here: If I have a wheelset with a DT Swiss 350 hub (SRAM 12-speed), is it possible to convert it to Shimano 12-speed? How complicated/expensive is it to do?
Is this what I need to buy and replace? [https://www.bike-discount.de/en/dt-swiss-240/350-shimano-12-speed-micro-spline-rotor-kit](https://www.bike-discount.de/en/dt-swiss-240/350-shimano-12-speed-micro-spline-rotor-kit)

PS: for a DT Swiss 240 hub is it absolutely the same?
Thanks!

  1. https://www.dtswiss.com/en/support/product-support

type in your serial number for your hub or sort through product filter, once you’ve done that it’ll give you all of the parts compatible by part # and you can cross reference that with the item you’re trying to purchase; it also includes the service manuals for swapping out your freehub, DT Swiss also has an official youtube video for this along with multiple DIY people showing you how to do this that you can look up.

it’s important to make the distinction that multiple versions of the 240 hub exist throughout the years so not all parts are cross compatible across product generation ie. EXP Ratchet vs Standard Star Ratchet

  2. You just need to buy the freehub and swap it in. It should cost around $100 for the new freehub. You can also find used ones for less online, e.g. on Pinkbike.
