Hello riders ! Do these 2 small cogs look worn to you ? I just slapped a brand new chain on my transmission and it started slipping under tension, only on these 2 small cogs. Don’t mind the chain, it is dirty because at the first ride with it I hit some mud baths, but i will clean it before the next ride. Cassette is Shimano CS-HG201-9, it has 1000km (620mi) and it was used with a new chain as well until now, changed at 0.85-0.9 wear.

  1. You won’t always be able to tell a cassette i worn visually. If you changed the chain and it’s now slipping that’s a telltale sign you gotta change the cassette aswell.

Yep, old worn chain = worn cassette, unfortunately. Don’t know how many times I replaced a chain to late to save the cassette. Has cost me a pretty penny.
