Surly has a bike sizing chart posted on they’re website. If you slam the stem you might be fine. And bike prices are kinda more based on location than bike, I’m probably gonna sell my surly a lil cheaper than this and will have to wait a while for someone serious to buy it.
EDIT: I didn’t see they were also selling the racks and bags this is an incredible deal.

How are the bearings? How many miles on the cassette and chain?
With all the currently ongoing sales, there’d have to have a very good reason to buy a ten year old bike.

I have this exact same set up.
When I got my LHT, I paid around $1300
I got both rear and front ortliebs and in total they’re around $400
Seatpost is Brooke’s so another $150ish.
So close to 2k value there for $1200 is pretty solid in my opinion

I think this bike might be too big for you, although the only way to know for sure is to go sit on it.
Many women tend to have proportionally long legs and a short torso compared to men. Does that sound like you?
You might find that you have to stretch out too much to reach the bars. You could improve that slightly with a different stem, but honestly at 5’7 I think a smaller frame would probably be better for you. Go try it and see.

My opinion is that the bike will be too big. Maybe if you have a long torso you could make it work but I’m not sure. I am 5’ 6” and I ride a 50 cm frame with the seatpost high because I have a short torso. 52 is typically too much reach. Anyway 56 is a pretty big bike. Try for a test ride if you want but I don’t like too big bikes and err smaller for comfort and handling myself.
