This happened to me once before a few months ago, and it seemed to fix itself about an hour or so later. This one appears to be sticking around a bit longer….
Essentially, the clip on the side of the front wheel that allows the front end to lock in place with the back end of the frame is significantly unaligned (with the clip not reaching over the frame by maybe half an inch).
The bike folds about 98% of the way but the clip bumping up against the frame is preventing it from locking in place.
It looks like the rear wheel is folded as high as possible so not sure where the misalignment is happening. Is this a common problem? If so, is there a way to remedy this on the road or will it require a formal service?

Unfold the rear a little bit, fold the front wheel around, complete the rear fold. So it’s the rear fold going into the front wheel clip rather than the front wheel clip going in to the rear.
Make sense?
Is your seat post definitely fully all the way up?
