Does anybody know which kind of Cantilever brake system is this (backwheel)? Could it be substitute with a more modern one? Some advice/ tutorial would be very helpful. Thank you all!

As others said they’re U-brakes. We used to call them 990’s on bmx’s back in the day not sure if that still holds.
I bought an old frame with these on the back, also under the chain stay. I had to replace the brakes and got a decent cheap pair from a BMX store. They’re a different pull ratio to other brakes so either keep the handle you have or get the right one. I bought a full kit that made it easy.
