Prior owner had a fall (cosmetic damage on axle body), but I put 15k km on these over ~2 yrs with no issues.
The freehub rubs against a few teeth in this region causing my cassette to stick when freewheeling. I removed the pawls for clarity. The freehub doesn’t rub the teeth until it’s fully seated (last 0.5 mm)
Could incorrect spoken tension cause the axle to deform slightly to where now the freehub is not centered and it rubs? The rims are true

I think you are asking if the hub shell could be out of round due to spoke tensions. If so, it is possible, but I’d say pretty unlikely. The spokes with that lacing pattern aren’t pulling radially, the hub flange serves as a very stiff “webbing” for the shell, and as you mentioned, the rim is true. Most likely, the damage was more than cosmetic, or the drive ring (which is threaded into the shell) is out of spec. I’d guess the damage has cased your rubbing.
How many teeth of the drive ring does the freehub contact?

Is it not more likely that the axle is just bent?
