There is a plastic insert that was glued into the post. Removing was scary and painful. Just not impressed with the choice to glue on a servicable part.
And definitely not happy about it disintegrating in the first two years.
On the positive side : canyon sent me replacement very quickly and authorized 80 dollars for shop to glue it . I will try using it without gluing , and see if the post will hold in place

I’m still not sure what was wrong with a simple seatpost clamp. I like my Endurace, but this design choice has me scratching my head…
