I want to properly clean these chainrings. I want to take at least the smaller one off of the big chainring, but preferably take both off of the crank. Is this possible?
I already tried an allen key for the hole on the back, but it is round

Those are riveted on, non removable.
If you really wanted to remove a single ring you could cut it off, but you can’t add a ring again
