Following on from a previous post asking about a first dual suspension trail bike, I have narrowed down the options to the Marin Rift Zone XR and the Giant Trance X Advanced Pro 2.
I’m definitely a begginner to intermediate rider, and our trails are lots of rolling terrain with short punchy climbs and descents.

The Marin is about $3150 AUD including shipping + a faster rolling rear tyre. The Giant is $4000 AUD.
The biggest difference I see is the Carbon frame and wheels on the Giant, which makes it about 2kg lighter, which is not a small consideration. I think the 140/130 travel on the Marin might suit my riding conditions better than the 150/135 on the Giant. Also like the flip chip on the Giant, as I think the high setting is probably better for my riding.
Which would you choose considering the price difference?

I’d get the Marin, I personally think alloy makes sense for a dually that’s going to have a pretty hard time. Also I’ve had good experiences with bikes online. Also it looks great.
