I’m looking to get a gravel fork and came around the GVX made by Suntour. Any opinions on it? I already have a steel fork (stock), a carbon fork and would like to test a suspension fork without investing much on it. I understand Suntour is not a Fox or RockShox equivalent, but I’d like to know if it’s worth the investment as an amateur rider. I don’t like the State suspension fork, so I wouldn’t want to go that route.

I rode mine all of last season. I wanted a nicer one but just got way too good of a deal on the suntour.
I lost close to a mph compared to the carbon fork, but on longer rides it really paid off for me with how much more comfortable I am.
No issues so far.

I had a suntour fork on my first mtb and it did just fine. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy one because of the brand, not sure about that specific fork tbh
I put one on my bike for comfort on long mile rides and switch back to the rigid as I ramp up to race days. I say do it!

don’t know anything about this specific fork, but Suntour are the ones who put their fork and rear shock on the Pinarello mountainbikes…so maybe let’s not discount them as a strong name in the industry…
