Blue one is a 2010 carbon mtb with a modern gravel fork, red one is 2022 carbon gravel bike. Frame geometry is identical except for 1cm longer top tube on the mtb, and 26 x 2.2 wheels vs 700 x 42. The ride and fit is identical.

They serve different purposes and crossover to pavement and epic rides very well. I’m super lucky the old mtb frame suits me well with drop bars. When I bought it, I always complained the top tube on the mtb frame was too short for flat bars. The bb height, reach to the hoods, and saddle position are all identical now, even with different reach and stack measurements. The blue one uses a 90mm stem, and the red one is a 110mm stem.

what do you mean by “identical geometry”? Because that hardtail clearly has longer chain stays and a higher BB…
