Hey guys just fitted a new chainwheel and cranks, my non drive side appears to be sticking out a little…too much? Ive screwed the bolt in as far as i can, i can go harder o think but without torque wrench im not sure if i risk over tightening. Is this normal or accetpable? Its a relatively new BB too. Im just not sure why it wouldnt be more closer to frame.

Buy borrow or steal a torque wrench. It’s the only way to be sure.
If the spindle and crank square bore were clean and the crank bolt torqued to spec, you should be ok. I’ve seen some cranks not anywhere near the end of the taper.
Is the new crankset the same as the old one? Different cranksets require different spindle lengths, it could be this crank is designed for a shorter spindle.
If it’s not as tight as you can go with something like an 8” tool on it then it’s probably not torqued enough.
