My mtb was stolen recently so I’m in need of a new bike. I had a Cannondale Catalyst 1 2016 M frame and was happy with it, but I’ve always wanted a fat bike so now seems like the time to get one. I ride mainly on bike paths, but I also go to the trail a bit. I don’t need anything super hardcore, but I want something decent quality too. This Specialized is available locally to me and seems decent. Just wondering if it’s a decent bike from you guys with more experience and what it’s worth. I found it’s value on bicyclebluebook, but idk if that’s accurate. I’m 5’11”. According to Specialized charts I should be at the bottom of a large frame range, but I was comfortable with the Cannondale and I have longer legs and shorter torso. Thanks!

Bout $350
I’m 5’11 3/4 and I ride a M specialized. Fatboys are fun. Can hold there own on some dirt but shine in the snow. They are slow and heavy so if you’re looking for a commuter then I’d pass otherwise I say go for it.
For $350 I would buy that. I had to buy a 20″ wheeled Fatboy and a 24″ wheeled Fatboy for children and they both cost more than that. They seem like decent bikes and have been going strong with the kids beating them up. The price was high because they don’t make the kids ones anymore.
if it’s $350 then you’re lucky i don’t live near you cus i’d buy it first. i’ve seen this year fatboy listed between 600-1100 USD. i personally ride this exact frame in a medium, i’m 5’7”. you’ll be very comfortable on a large. it’s a great bike, more xc geo but it seems like that’s what you’ll be riding. super capable whip. i often say my fat bike is my favorite bike, though i don’t ride it the most. it can take you almost anywhere, if your legs can handle it. put a dropper post on it and away you go.
