I’m looking for a new gravelbike and I found the [Sonder Camino](https://eu.alpkit.com/collections/sonder-camino). Reviews of this bike are all good. Everybody seems to love this bike. It’s available in 2x GRX. No cable integration in the headset. So far I’m really liking it and this bike is on my list.
Now the brexit might be an issue. The Alpkit website reads: “*Import and customs charges: We cover all duties, import and customs charges on all our orders so the price you see on our site is the price you pay (plus shipping where applicable)*”.
Does anyone have any experience with buying a Sonder bike and importing it into the EU? Is this really the case? I’m living in the Netherlands and it wouldn’t surprise me if our greedy government would tax me afterwards.

I once bought a handlebar bag from alpkit and the statement was true for that. So I’d say it’s also true for the bikes.
i don’t have any experience with Alpkit but i bought a VEL+ wheelset from Sigma Sports in the UK to Germany and i didn’t pay any extra money for duty and import tax other than what i saw on their web.
I’ve only had excellent experiences with sonder/alpkit, so I’d be happy to pull the trigger and buy one

I bought a Sonder Camino Ti from the UK, imported to Ireland a few years ago and all customs and import fees were included in the final price. Great company to deal with and a lovely bike.

I’ve bought plenty of crap from the UK post-Brexit (and ordered a Sonder Camino pre-Brexit). If the shop states that taxes and duties are factored into the pricing, you can trust that especially with the bigger shops. Alpkit/Sonder is legit and can be trusted. You will incur no extra fees. Might have to declare it to customs in some cases, but you won’t have to pay extra.
However, in my experience Sonder bikes are not as good of a deal as they used to be anymore (unless there’s some sort of bigger sale going on) and that started to happen before Brexit. You can usually find similarly specced bikes for a good chunk of money less within the EU. I mean the Camino AL was nice to ride, but nothing really special.
