I have a bmx Pedal that I want to remove and Exchange. Buuut the Pedal is extremely hard to remove! I was at two bike shops and tried it with many friends and it literally moved Not at all !
Would nice if somebody can give me a advice!
1) penetrating oil is amazing. Put some on then wait, ideally overnight
2) heat is also very helpful. If you have a propane torch, heating everything up can help break the corrosion that’s holding it together or at least expand the crank enough to reduce the friction.
3) make sure you’re getting good leverage. For really stuck pedals I’ve put the crank on so both cranks face the same way, then stick a piece of wood between the frame and both cranks. Next, put the biggest pedal wrench you can find on there and step in it. If that doesn’t work, jump on it.
Careful with #3 though, if you have a carbon frame that may damage it. If it’s steel you should be fine with the wood but don’t use metal.

Take the pedal cage off, clamp the pedal axle between the vice and turn the crankarm, you can use something as leverage but be sure you turn to the right side

Make sure to turn the wrench handle toward the rear of the bicycle. Turning the wrench toward the back of the bike will loosen, and turning the wrench toward the front of the bike will tighten.

One breaker bar on the pedal wrench, one on the other crank arm. Works every time.

Make sure you’re turning the correct direction. Left side pedals have reverse threading…. Clockwise to loosen.
