Threaded forks, 3/8″ rear axle, and one piece cranks scream department store bike. And a broken one at that.
Mid-school is just now starting to become desirable, and that’s mostly old Barcodes and such. I personally don’t think mid-school GTs, or the like, will every have to value of the old school ones. They weren’t the hottest thing at the time and most of the value comes from people finally being able to buy what they couldn’t when they were younger.
