Nearly the best, it would be improved with a pinion P18 midships giving you that sweet sweet 3350% gear ratio.

Yup. I have the priority Apollo, which has the 11 speed Shimano Alfine and it’s great. Absolutely enjoy it. Plenty of range, and just can’t beat the durability. I think I’ve had to tighten the belt twice in the more than four years that I’ve been riding with it. Absolutely enjoyable. And extremely quiet.

In 2015, I had a friend who’d built a parts bin bike with some kind of IGH setup, but I think it was a chain drive. We rode a +100 mile gravel fondo. A good friend of mine also uses a Rohloff for his bike (a Specialized AWOL that’s a do-it-all bike). He swears by it. Again, it’s chain drive.
I think the downside is that you have to stop pedaling entirely to shift.

Yes?
Where is the battery on this? The downtube?
