Hey guys. I recently realized my rotor is rubbing one side of the pads without being engaged, new bike.
Ive tried the loosen, hold brake, tighten method with and without an alignment tool(thin oval that slides over the rotor)
Doesn’t seem to want to pull straight. Any advice?

I’m not really sure why so many people recommend this. It almost never works the you want it to. That’s really only good for a roadside fix
Just like you did with your camera, view down the caliper with your eyes and very carefully adjust it side to side until you see an even gap on either side. Lightly snug one bolt once that end is centered, then do the other end of the caliper. Go back and forth tightening the bolts so you don’t cause the caliper to shift from the torque of tightening the bolts
If you are still getting an intermittent rub, the rotor needs to be trued
