Hello I just removed my Shimano 17-25 8 speed cassette and I want to install a 10 speed cassette (Shimano 105 cs 5700) do I need a ring to install before put my cassette or it’s okay? Thanks!

If it’s a Shimano/SRAM 9 and 10s compatible freehub then yes, you need the 1mm spacer.
If it’s 11 speed then you also need the 1.85mm spacer.
Some cassettes have little nubs on the back so you don’t have to use the spacer – but I’m pretty sure that’s up to Tiagra only.
