Always protect your eyes from these birds I am so sorry for doing this to you guys but I’m about to add this to your list of things to worry about so this is something that happened over the past couple weeks this video went extremely viral getting over 60 million

Views on Tik Tok this video shows this lady minding her business just going for a walk when all of the sudden a magpie comes out of nowhere and swoops down on her the more shocking part of the video though is The Magpie actually ends up sticking its beak right below her eye

Fortunately this lady’s eye was fine but let’s talk about why and how this happens firstly this most of the time happens in Australia during what’s called Magpie swooping season this is between the months of August to October and this is when magpies are roosting and they have their nest with their eggs

Magpies can be pretty aggressive and see you as a threat even if you’re not even very close to where their nest is they often times swoop on bikers or just passerbys and the most important thing for you to do if a magpie is attacking you is to maintain eye contact even

Though it sounds

  1. one time I was outside in my backyard I saw magpie baby and mum
and mum fly away and left her baby so I was like telling the baby to go bc he could fly kinda
And the. Mum came back and I was standing the outdoor couch to see the roof and she came AND DEATHSTARED ME and I was like nope not today and went under the roof

  2. First, glasses. So thank the lord.
Second, if an undercooked black and white chicken comes swooping down and starts attacking me, imma turn that thing into a thanksgiving turkey.

  3. Imagine if only humans remembered they were the Alphas and showed Magpies what a friendly example of hunting induced exctinction looks like. Oh wait, that can never happen in Australia. They turned in their weapons to the gov.
