After years of resistance I finally joined “team tubeless”. My first ride ever on my Wednesday last Spring resulted in a flat from a large thorn and at that point I said “time to try tubeless”.

With a week off for Christmas and no snow in southern Ontario I figured perfect time to do the work.

I watched piles of YouTube videos and had a good chat with a mechanic at my LBS when buying my supplies and then got busy. Added purple rim strips to match my other purple bits. Went for a quick rip last night to get the sealant sloshing around – seems to be holding air nicely.

Time will tell but so far I’m very pleased.

Brooooooooooooo, I have a green pugsley and did the same thing, purple duck tape , and all my accents are purple. We’re brothers now! I literally was like yo did I post my shit earlier or what?

  2. I’m also digging the purple rim tape! You will be happy with tubeless, regardless if you are on dirt or snow. I had one bad puncture with tubes on my ICT, and haven’t had any issues since switching.
