I bought a 1972 px10 frame off ebay about a month ago. this is my first vintage bike built and I am so happy with it. Im not a purist so I put the parts that I wanted on it so that id love it, instead of period correct french parts that I wasn’t going to enjoy using. I also put gravelking sk tires on it because the roads are shit where I live.

Honestly don’t worry about the whole ‘purist’ movement. Bike companies put whatever is the latest tech on bikes.
If the PX10 was released today they’d put current Dura Ace or SRAM on it. SO put whatever you want and enjoy it.
