Not very knowledgeable about bikes
Would I need to replace the derailleur or could I just buy a new screw , if so how would I know what size and type the screw needs to be?

I would go for a new derailleur. A shimano tourney should be fine.
Make shure the threads of the hanger are ok.
Also i would recommend to clean and lube your chain
What happened? Did you hit something, or did the derailleur just fall off?
You should:
1. get a new derailleur hanger
2. get a new derailleur
3. get a new chain
4. possibly get a new gear cluster
5. look into getting new chainrings
The derailleur hanger is bent, & the threads in the mounting hole are damaged.
The derailleur itself is damaged, & probably will not work correctly.
The chain is rusty, & might break soon.
It looks like the threads on the derailleur hanger were damaged when the derailleur come out. So you would need a new derailleur hanger, they are specific to your frame, the manufacturer should be able to point you in the right direction.
There are sites that sell just [derailleur hangers](https://derailleurhanger.com/) that may be useful.
The bolt uses a M10 x 1.0 thread pitch, but i would imagine the derailleur is bent as well. I would replace it with a Shimano Altus, Acera, or Alivio derailleur.
