I posted a few days ago asking for some advice between a brand new State 6061 All-Road and a 10 year old Trek Crossrip.
Well I bought the State! And I couldn’t be happier!
The bike rides like a dream. The 650b wheels don’t feel sluggish at all compared to my old Giant Contend and any concerns about brake performance were nullified because State updated this model to cable actuated hydraulics. They brake amazingly. The shifting is spot on and the bike eats up gravel and dirt roads. So thanks for the help in deciding, I couldn’t be happier about my choice.
I’m also a sewist and Make Your Own Gear r/MYOG enthusiast so the first thing I did was make a new half frame bag for my new ride. I designed and printed the pattern on the bag so that the color would compliment the bikes colors.
