Not worth the trouble to drill and tap honestly. I’ve seen people butcher their head tubes attempting it.
Yeah it’s doable, I’ve converted a few myself for customers however it takes a bit of care and measure twice drill once etc.
Maybe look for a complete gyro kit. Some can be installed without tabs but honestly it’s probably just easier to run a long cable.
