I recently bought a new bike and have kept it stock to get a feel for it. After 20+ miles, I’ve made a list of mods. One of those is the bar width. I’ve done some homework (this vid is great [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMXlKED32uo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMXlKED32uo)), but I’m curious if there are any trainers/teachers in the sub that have new or different insights. Going from 800 to 780. (70″x4.40=778cm)

link above should cover general idea if what tools to use to cut your bars, you obviously don’t have to buy specific Parktool branded hacksaw & cutting guide.
alternatively there’s also pipe cutters (only for aluminum), some people like it, some people don’t, me personally i prefer with a hacksaw/guide for a very clean cut.
