  1. My compression bolt is tightened as much as possible and im still getting a lot of play in my stem. I’m not sure if I need spacers or something? The fork I’m replacing was a stock fork, this is a fit shiv v3. Any tips would be greatly appreciated 🖤

    Yeah, you need spacers. You don’t tighten the ever-lovin’ crap out of the top bolt. It is only there to pre-load the headset bearings and hold everything together while you tighten the side bolts. It is not a structural fastener. Once the front end is snugged to the point of no more play, stop. Then, straighten the bars and tighten the stem side bolts <- that is the structural connection.
    Add enough spacer(s) but not too much. Ideally, you want the top of the steerer tube to be at or above the top SIDE bolt (above is better) but below the stem top bolt seat.
