In this video, we go on a bikepacking trip from Amsterdam to Belgium to explore Flanders, the Dutch-speaking northern portion of Belgium. Famous for its cobbled climbs like the Koppenbeg, Oude Kwaremont and the Paterberg part of the Tour of Flanders (Ronde van Vlaanderen). As a bonus, we cross the border and go for more cobbles to Roubaix in France to test the French cobbles of Carrefour de l’Arbre, one of the cobbled sectors of Paris-Roubaix.

Well done completing such a big route on cobbles. It must have been quite shaky I suppose 😁 The Belgian waffles looks so delicious. Will need to cycle in Belgium one day and have a waffle.

All your reports about your bike rides are great but this one is special for me … yes I am from Belgium. In this tour you will visit a lot of places that are very familiar to me. I climbed the Koppenberg several times (on foot) during the walk from Kluisbergen (50km). The Palm brewery was the rest stop halfway through the Dodentocht (100km – 17 times done). A word about Belgian beers: no other country has as many different tasty beers as Belgium. On your next visit to Belgium, try other, even better but stronger beers than Stella. Afterwards it could be a problem to ride your bike.😉
