Of God we have to deal these times such as Christmas and Easter and certain other holidays that we’ve learned through serving God are not necessarily biblical but at the same time we’re out here in the world and you have to navigate dealing with these times whether it’s navigating dealing with the
General public whether it’s navigating dealing with your job there’s and we we’ll go over a quick example and just discuss how we may handle the situation based on the word of God concerning different situations people may be in when it comes to uh those kind of days an example would be somebody
Who’s in marketing and they’re job is to solely produce the marketing materials for their company what happens when their company says okay it’s time for you to send out our Christmas email blast that is their sole job how let’s discuss those things because those are real life events
Somebody who works for the post office they know all they doing is delivering Christmas presents they sole job is to deliver the the the mail how do they deal with that do they say no I’m not gonna work this job well let’s deal with the word of God and as as brothers and
As a family brothers and sisters and as a family let’s discuss how we navigate these situations and then toward the end we also wanted to touch on something that we had watched started watching which is just the issue with black culture and what we can do in concerning

Relate how does it actually relate to the Bible and if and for somebody who’s actually trying to live a biblically based life uh the St uphold those standards in their everyday in their everyday lives and everyday operations so with that said brother Maris if you want you got everything queued up some
That for that history with Christmas yeah absolutely man let’s take a look at some of this stuff man um you know it’s um I mean you know let’s put on a table at least I I I put it on my table you know um I celebrated Christmas
Right but you know to say as the say and go uh when you know better you do better right and it was all the way up to the point where you know I thought I was serving God but then I started to uh read some of these things and I had
Questions then I started to learn the word of God and then I was like okay this ain’t even the same guy right um so you know we could just take a couple of historical references and just kind of look at some of the things that man has really come up with because that’s
Really who these Commandments come from they come from man right right all right let’s see here the first one we could look at is uh we got this uh this guy right here okay there we go all right so the first reference here let me know when you guys can see it I

Entry for Christmas right so it says Christmas derived from the medeval Christus mass the mass of Christ now we know Brothers well and good that Christ ain’t never had no Mass you don’t read about no no mass in the Bible right um but let’s see what what else they got
Here for this entry it says the feast commemorating that out the way it says the feast commemorating the birth of Jesus observed by the Christian Church annually on the 25th of December and I think you know to me when I read stuff like this you know part of the real big
Deception is that there’s two churches right you have this church that’s in the Bible that the Lord said that he’s going to marry when he returns right and then you have this other church that masquerades and it said it’s Christian church so when you go out and you tell
Somebody you’re a Christian you know and they say oh Merry Christmas he say oh no no I don’t celebrate that well they say well why don’t you celebrate it because I’m a Christian it caus confusion right but there’s two people masting as a Christian church but only one of them is
Really a Christian church right and Christian just mean that you follow Christ right so it says it was accorded to many authorities not celebrated in the first centuries of the Christian church as the Christian usage in general was to celebrate the death of remarkable persons rather than their birth and
That’s kind of what you read in the scriptures right because we can go in the scriptures and you know Paul says you know show you show the by uh by taking in his blood and taking in his bread you show you do show the Lord’s death to come right because we were
Actually saved by his death because we got the opportunity after he died to come under his blood through Grace right um but I’m want to skip down here to uh some of the stuff in here right it says in the fifth century the western church so this is the Western Christian Church
Which is really um the Western Roman Church it’s about to tell you though it says in the fifth century the western church ordered it to be celebrated Forever on the day of the old Roman Feast of the birth of Soul as no certain knowledge of the day of Christ birth
Existed I think this the problem what this entry is telling us is that first off the early Christians did not celebrate this they didn’t know his birth they still don’t know his birth but some man stood up and said hey why don’t we celebrate the birth of Christ
On the old on the birth of Soul you know but soul is the name of the son God right because during this time this is what the Romans worship right so I think that one thing that we we really got to take out of this is that if you consider
Yourself following the Christ of the Bible the the the Messiah Jesus of the Bible right what you’re literally walking around and saying is that oh hey you see how they’re celebrating their God over there let’s do that for our God but he didn’t tell you to do that so you
Know that’s just one piece of history that you know I think really people really have to you know consider when they’re dealing with uh when they’re dealing with Christmas and I you know and another thing I throw on top of this because you can go down I’ll throw in
One more piece out of this particular uh uh this particular excerpt but it goes on to say uh uh the custom of making presents at Christmas is derived from ancient usage but it has become consecrated by ages and and contributes greatly to make this Festival an interesting event to families it says
The sending of Christmas cards by the way of friendly greeting and Remembrance has grown up since about 18 60 the Christmas tree has been traced back to the Romans it went from Germany to Great Britain and is almost Universal in the United States where the customs of so many nationalities meet and gradually
Blend into common usage and that’s I think that’s real interesting because you have people that are you know all across the world that probably haven’t even heard the word of God yet but they got a Christmas tree up right so you really got to consider what does this
Christmas tree have to do with Christ at all what would it have to do with his birth how am my honor of Christ because we can go in and read about also some of the traditions of men they’re Vain and they don’t really profit you so um you
Know it’s just interesting to me that when you go in and you read about some of these um you know where this thing actually comes from in a lot of regards um and you see that they really don’t tie into the Christ of the Bible when it
Says the Christian church I think that we have to establish that there is just a genuine disconnect there so that’s one of the um you know just one of to yes sir Absol yes sir did you have anything else that you wanted to touch on with some of that
History that you have I can show one more here because the other part of this is U let me here let me share this one yeah we can read history on it all day it’s it’s just you know you you you want to be gracious to people and you
Know this book here is called the Encyclopedia of the woman’s Encyclopedia of myths and secrets so really this is an encyclopedia it’s kind of dark there but I’m it’s gonna light up when you get to the text when you this is an encyclop of literal like uh like uh
Sorcery you know what I’m saying this is like sorcery mysticism right um so uhuh they have an entry in here for Christmas look at the first thing it says it says for its first three centuries oh wow the the Christian Church knew no birthday for its Savior and we still don’t
Because when you go in the Bible I think the thing that throws people the most is that when people go into Luke they go into Matthew and they read about jesus’ birth they think he started there and I think that’s the problem you go to Psalms 139 it says that he came through
He had to come through uh Mary you know what I’m saying and so I think that people just haven’t wrapped their mind around the concept that this Jesus this precious baby Jesus or you know little cuddly manger Jesus this Messiah of the Bible the god of the Bible has always
Existed and I think that it goes It goes to show that sir we don’t have understanding of the church that there’s two churches we don’t have understanding that there’s two jesuses right we don’t understand really who God is and I think that all these things create a
Combination of we really I I I hate I always tell my wife I hate to use the word ignorant because in our in in in the world ignorant has a a negative connotation right you calling me ignorance like well in the scriptures ignorance just mean that you don’t fully
Understand something and I think that’s a okay word to use because what it is we don’t we don’t fully understand what we’re dealing with um let me scroll down here because I want to get to some of the um because people say well well what’s wrong with Christmas and so we
Read that you know um in in in the other uh excerpt from encyclopedia Americana volume 6 what we were reading about was you know that dat may have been chosen to honor the soul who is the son God right and the first commandment says Thou other gods before me so I think
That when when you even dealing with this thing you first got to figure out why am I celebrating this on December 25th and we really don’t know because nobody ever asked that question a lot of the Traditions that we pick up we don’t actually think about any of it right so
It says here it says Roman churchmen tended to favor mithraic winter solstice festival called Diaz natalus soulless uh Invictus and that’s the same guy soul Soul Invictus same person it says birth of the unconquered son if you went and had Googled Soul that’s who you’re going to see the unconquered son the Romans
Celebrated the unconquered sun because on the winter solstice in the especially in the uh in the uh central part of the uh of the earth and of the world in the northern part the winter solstice for them was the was it was very dark it was
Very cold and a lot of their agriculture died and the sun would in some places disappear for almost three days um so you have like very little sunlight but what would happen on the third day is that after after the third day the sun would become more and more visible so
Say for instance if you had you know six hours of sunlight eight hours of sunlight that’s a very very short day but on that third day you started knows all it’s eight and a half it’s nine it’s 10 as the days continue on and you start to head towards the veral Equinox right
Which is which is our Spring right as these days got visibly longer on the third day they started to worship the sun because they said well it’s the this is The Rebirth of the unconquered sun it’s cold it’s dark and the sun even though it looks like is not going to uh

December 25th because the people were used to calling it a God’s birthday right so this is this this is uh what you what this is really talking about what happened in the 4th century was that you got to realize when Constantine was in rule he was Emperor over the
Entire Roman Empire his father was uh when when he was a Emperor they had a western uh Roman Empire they had a East uh uh East and the West Roman Empire but Constantine was the first one to rule over the entire Roman Empire and on the
West you had pagans and on the East you had Roman Christians and so what Constantine he just wanted everybody to get along so he said hey can we merge these things together and that’s why when you go into one of our other historical references that we like to
Use the last two million years it talks about a merging of the calendars right between the pagans and and the Roman Christians and so since the pagans was already used to doing something on December 25th then the Christians they wanted to do that thing he said hey can
We just bring these things together so that y’all can at least play along nicely right and then out of that merging you get things it says trapping such as U logs gifts lights missile toe Holly carols Feast processions were all together Pagan all of is Pagan right so
There is and and I think that when when it for me when I come to this point I always ask people if you doing all these things to celebrate the birth of Christ are you doing any of the things that are in the Bible to celebrate Christ you

Brother Maris was touching on which is historically before we even get to certain things that God had already said and already had written concerning certain Customs even before we get to that we could deal with just the history of of it and we’re touching on the history because we as men as brothers
And sisters sisters who are not on with us right now we are trying to get back to serving God according to what what we can clearly read according to the clear instructions not serving God according to what somebody can make sound good not serving God according to what our
Parents may have told us but we’re trying to actually read and get back to doing the things that I write according to God’s sight seeing that this world is in disarray especially when you talk about us being being who they call black Americans especially us who we know that according to scripture we
Descend we from the people who I prophesied about who had to be taken into slavery by ships into a different country yes sir and when we talk about those people we’re talking about the children of Israel because in the Torah I know that the people who we call Jews
Today they talk about us worshiping some Sky God and and US believing in Jesus and they just completely debase Christ and they’ll say if you want to be jew then you better learn Torah if you learn Torah you can be a Jew okay well in Torah it says in Deuteronomy the 28th
Chapter that the children of Israel due to their punishment were going to be taken into a land of captivity are they going to be taken into Egypt Again by ships Egypt just representing captivity and us being of a people who have been taken into captivity by ships us being
Of a people who have been hid in prison houses us being of a people who have been at the bottom as prophesied per the word of God in Torah us being of those people we’re trying to get back to serving what we supposed to serve according to what’s
Written because we’ve seen nothing else has helped so just reading some more dealing with the history of these these these uh of Christmas in which case we’re going to learn some things according to the Bible where it doesn’t fit but let me go ahead and pull this up hey hey Ben as far
As yes sir I was I was just thinking about what brother Maris was saying uh basically uh the Christianity back in the days was was Roman Christianity and they got they got uh instead of uh converting people to Christianity they got converted into paganism that’s what really
Happened you know ex yes sir all the Customs they took on the customs of the people and and got converted into paganism and all those Customs came into the church and and and they used to call their they still to this day call they s the church you know yeah that’s right

Birth so this is letting us know that the end of a thing getting to the end is better than when you start when you think about a good name a good name is something that’s earned and it’s earned over time it’s earned over years a good name is something that has
To be built up to yes sir and when somebody’s finally come to the time of their death hopefully they’ve done all these good things and they’ve built up to where they’re leaving you know good in the world and they’ve left a positive impact they didn’t destroy a bunch of
Lives they didn’t destroy their children they didn’t destroy a bunch of households you want somebody you want the day that you leave this earth to be more impact than the day that you came yeah because if the day you leave you you’ve helped people you’ve helped people get through their hard times you
You bore each other you bore other people’s burdens so the end of the thing is better than the beginning and that’s why those those early Christians was saying no don’t celebrate uh a birthday celebrate the Day of one’s death now let’s go to see what Jesus said concerning birthday versus his what
We’re supposed to do to remember him yes sir let’s go to let’s go to um let’s go to Luke let’s go to Luke 22 let’s go to Luke 22 yes sir let’s go to Luke 22 and we’re going to pick this up at verse at verse 13 Luke 22 and verse 13

Have regarding what we’re supposed to do in remembrance of Christ gez brother and it was in remembrance of his body that he gave yeah so when we talk about remembering Christ’s birth we know that there’s a lot of people who do that they they think that they’re remembering
Christ’s ver birth in Christmas but as we read in history Christ’s birth Christmas was not predicated upon Christ’s birth Christmas was a celebration that was going on prior to Christ it was a celebration that was going on without Christ yeah and later on they implemented Christ or are certain aspects of of Christian
Theology into the celebration of of that time which was really the uh winter solstice right they implemented uh part portions of CH of Christian theology not actual Christian practices and here we see even we see Jesus the Savior the one who came and he was here because nobody who wasn’t here is gonna
Have this much impact the stories of Zeus have not had this much impact right the stories of Assan asan the and the and the spider in Africa that didn’t has not had this this much impact the stories of Osiris has not had as much impact as these words of
God here yeah Jesus was here now moving on he said do this in remembrance of me which is what take of that wine and that bread which represents his blood and his body which is giv yeah that’s what he said doing remembrance of him now let’s go somewhere else in the

Christ came right we’re about to read in Jeremiah 10 about a custom that was already prevalent before Christ came in the flesh so we’re gonna pick this up at Jeremiah 10 and verse one and anybody want to read I got it brother yes sir hear ye the word which
The Lord speaketh unto you oh House of Israel thus sayith the Lord learn not the way of the Heathen and be not dismayed at the signs of of Heaven for the Heathen are dismayed at them of the people for one cut a tree out of the forest the work of the hands
Of the workmen with the axe they deck it with silver and with gold they fasten it with nails and with hammers that it move not they are upright as the palm tree but speak not they must needs be born because they cannot go be not AF them
For they cannot do evil also is it in them to do good for as much as there is none like unto thee Oh Lord Thou Art great thy name is Great and Mighty so would not fear thee Oh King so now we got we have where it’s spoken about
These trees that they standing up they deck it with gold they deck it with silver they uh it’s the the work of the workman’s acts and when we look at the Christmas tree now bring it up yes sir when we look at the Christmas tree in case we

Foolish the stock is a doctrine of vanities 10 yes verse 10 but but the Lord is the true God yeah he is living God and an everlasting King at his wrath the Earth shall tremble and the nation shall not be able to abide in his indignation so
He’s saying look man don’t deal with these trees the Lord is a true God and if he’s an everlasting King how you gonna put How You Gonna date Everlasting when did Everlasting begin that’s right right skip down skip down to 14 14 yes sir 14 15 and 16 every man is
Brutish in his knowledge yeah every founder is confounded by the Graven image uhuh for his molten image is falsehood and there is no breath in them uhuh vanity and the work of Errors see they the work of Errors yes right that’s why I say uh you know you go over in the
Uh New Testament I can’t think of exactly where it is but there is a Spirit of error that we don’t understand that we dealing with with this thing go ahead brother in the time of their visitation they Shall Perish that’s the real problem right there right this is

Tree so I always put on the table I say look man you say you don’t worship a Christmas tree right but when you put up a Christmas tree in your house I mean let’s let’s let’s keep it let’s keep it 100 here right when you walk in the
House from work the first thing you do when that Christmas tree up you walk in the house you plug it in you going to plug that tree in before you thank God for the day you going to plug that tree in before you thank God for getting you
Home safely from your job yes right sir when when it’s when it’s night time a you standing there at your tree looking at it admiring it right looking at it Beauty let me show show y’all something right quick because people say they be quick to say well you know we we we
Ain’t worshiping no tree okay let’s take a look at this because everybody know this song here right this is the lyrics the old Christmas tree y’all ever take a took a look at these lyrics right no I’m I’m being serious here I know what you’re saying I know I remember let’s
Look at this thing it say old first off you saying old Christmas tree you you got some obedience to this thing right how lovely are your branches right it says uh of all the trees most lovely but the Lord just said he said uh uh uh they
Are all together brutish and foolish the stock is the doctrine of vanities right then he say it says um let me see here we we learn from all your beauty learn what what are you learning from all all all the beauty of this tree but look at
This one though it says your is your your bright green leaves with festive cheer give hope and strength throughout the year really wow really you getting your hope and your strength from this Christmas tree and I think that you know part of the real problem is that people
Really just do things out of tradition we do things we don’t ask no questions right because I mean if you really want to be honest a lot of times if you you had you know them them old southern parents you know you wasn’t allowed to ask no questions you did and you shut
Your mouth right it didn’t matter what what what y’all was doing it didn’t matter if it made sense or not you asked the you asked the wrong question you gonna get popped in your mouth and get that you know that that real hard look from Big moms right that’s that’s how I
Go so you you stand there at this tree everybody’s at the tree you got your cup of hot chocolate right and you stand there you admiring this tree you got an angel on top you got that false star up top right you know what I’m saying you
Admiring the tree so who is the are they really about you spend more time with the tree than you do with Christ right but I realize now that a lot a lot of people in general it’s not just about the church it’s people in general because we looked up something me and uh
Brother Doug looked up something it said the majority of the people that actually celebrate Christmas don’t even believe in Christ all right so we’re not even dealing with it’s not a it’s not a church it’s not a church thing they have just taken a pagan tradition Pagan customs and have inv
Put Christ name on there it just so happens to be that Jesus is the name of their God and it’s the same one as the god of the Bible yes sir and while we speaking on Traditions right because you hit on something I mean if we gonna be
Honest right majority of people you are celebrating Christmas Thanksgiving Fourth of July New Year’s all these things because this is what you was raised in your whole life right you you most likely learned about Christmas and the holidays way before you even learned about Jesus as a child you know I’m
Saying and I wanted to as you talked about the Traditions I wanted to see if uh we can go over to Mark 7 and just read verses 8 and N to see how Jesus actually spoke about the Traditions versus doing what he says to do yes

Overzealous brothers and sisters might be no we we we we’re not quitting the job man I do have a practical scenario though my sister I go to class with down here she um she is a I don’t know she’s in education I believe she’s in the school building I’m not exactly sure
What capacity but she uh we you know we kind of grouped up two week couple weeks ago two weeks ago and she was saying uh she’s like Maris you know pray for me um they you know they they have me uh in line to be I think it was like secret
Santa or something like that and um or some type of some type of Santa or something like that I’m just like so do they know you don’t sell cele he’s like yeah you know I told him I’m just like man it’s just interesting to me that that that’s like a a a direct
Violation of like my religious freedom right yeah yeah if I put on the table yeah that’s crazy to me bro you know what I’m saying and and to be honest yeah I don’t really know how to even advise I was just like look man I
Said you know you gotta uh I said you know first off I pray for the sister that’s first second off you know you know I was just when I was talking to her I was just like look man I said you know um you may have to like you know

See it and my goal is to do my best to hold strong no matter what because I have examples of people willing to lose their life to not defile the Lord because even though that was for sure idol worship but if you break one you broke them all you know what I’m saying
And that’s just the way that I see it so it’s it’s just very difficult that’s a very like for me like I just would go on the line of I’m not doing this because I if I compromise for you Satan gonna come and he GNA try to put me in
More situations because he already saw well he he willing to tiptoe right here where else can I get so for me I just prefer to I’m taking the line of I’m not doing it and if it’s my job on the line we I’ll see you in court that’s just how I am

And and everybody having their differences but still being able to to to keep trying to walk and strengthen each other in the Lord so with Christmas till today we talked about Christmas um how where how does it relate to the Bible we see that it doesn’t we see that
Its Origins weren’t of the Bible we also see that we got to have mercy on people who don’t know we give them the word but we still got to be merciful with them and be patience with be patient with them as they don’t know and we just the

They said I run a company I hired you I do Christmas cards every year I hired you to make my marketing stuff I need you to make the marketing stuff yeah and you knew that when you got hired too yeah you you may not have thought about the you may not thought about

I had to come back and watch this video from the beginning. You brothers did an outstanding, awesome job at delivering the truth message. I use to watch Brother Daniel a while back. I'm not sure how I lost contact. All I know is after seeing this video I'm back. Thank you family, and keep up your phenomenon works. Five stars from me.👍🏽
