TODAY’S SUBJECT is a quick summary of the last month and a trip to Tomlinson’s Farm Shop, Stoke Golding, to pick up our Christmas chicken.

GENERAL STUFF
I am retired from two careers of primary school teaching when I was deputy head of a Middle School and Primary School, and as a self employed Chalkboard Artist from 2002 until I reached the grand old age of 65 in 2016. Since I retired it’s like a second childhood but with more expensive toys.

I play guitar and write songs and have written about 14 songs for the local BBC radio station. I run a weekly (weakly) evening Acoustic session at a local pub and have been doing so for 14 years now. I also started an afternoon acoustic session in a quite large cafe in Nuneaton. Both premises were former songwriting clients of mine.

Much of the music I use on this channel is taken from epidemicsound.com free to use on Youtube for a reasonable monthly fee, and sometimes I suffer you with my own music.

Gear that I use:
DJI Mavic Mini 3 Drone.
Iphone 13Pro for camera, generally front facing so I can see myself in frame. Super quality especially if I keep the lens clean.

Gimble is a Q2 Smooth by Zhiyun, I ought to use this more often because it was expensive.

Rhode videomic to do voice over on computer
Video editing with Final Cut Pro X
Polarduck Mini Tripod for mobile phone. This is so good and under £10.00 I bought two.
Lamcou bendy leg tripod
Tall Tripod is a Velbon CX 540
Mono pod is a Manfrotto Compact MMC3-02 and is very useful for getting high angles that look like low flight drone shots and so easy to carry on my bike along with the mini tripod.

Well good morning it’s John Neil here and it’s uh Saturday the 23rd of December 2023 and it’s nearly Christmas well you might have been wondering where I’ve been for the last couple of weeks I did one video on YouTube about to going to the USA and yes went to the USA look and uh but there’s only so much I could reveal about that cuz it was sort

Of private family matters um but it was great really enjoyed that then I came back and I’ve been to ABY Road the uh yeah the recording studio in London for a day trip and again there’s certain aspects of that really I can’t uh I can’t sort of publish too much that was

A fantastic experience and it’s going to take me a long while to take all that in it was terrific so thanks to both my sons John and Hugh John in the USA and Kate his wife and the kids and then Hugh here in the in the UK for what has been

A quite memorable month or so today the story is just simply this it’s nearly Christmas and yeah we’re shopping like mad like everybody else is cuz the shops are shut you know for at least 12 hours um anyway uh yeah we’re going to go and pick up a chicken from The Stoke golden

Farm shop so basically that’s the story okay let’s let’s go oh jingle bells jingle bells jingle all the way oh what fun it is to ride in the one horse open slay jingle bells jingle bells jingle all the way oh what fun it is to ride well just driving to Stoke

Golding and the farm short of there Tomlinson’s uh Farm shop where we’ve ordered a chicken and yeah it would be really good because it’s great to uh to be able to buy some of your produce from local farms and you know you get to know the people there

And uh G and his son G lovely people to talk to and you get some connection with the local community which is Wonderful a day or two ago I thought I’d take a ride and soon miss fny bright was seated by my side the hor was lean Alik Misfortune seemed as light we got into a drifted bag and then we got upside oh jingle bells jingle bells jingle all the

Way oh what fun it is to ride in a Wonder open and slate jingle bells jingle bells jingle all the way oh what fun it is to ride ride in one or openap and SL oh what fun it is to ride in one or open and Slate [Applause] A so then we decided to make the best of the sunshine which doesn’t often occur in the middle of winter we’ve only just gone past the winter solstice so we went to our favorite Lane the Gated road which goes from suan Chini over towards [Applause] Mar and it looks like our little grass

Car park here is got two cars there already but we’ll just fit on the end here that’s [Applause] [Applause] Fine Then it was just a matter of driving home into that beautifully bright Low Winter Sun Oh that’s that’s having a laugh that’s over7 And2 So thank you very much for watching and uh you’ll see me next time okay Bye-bye
