Last day of my trip to France. Technically I will be in France until noon tomorrow, but today is my last day of sightseeing. Even though I feel a bit lonely, I want to enjoy the limited time I have to the fullest. The final destination we chose was the Palace of Versailles.
I am riding the RER train to the city of Versailles. In addition to other lines, you can also use the metro and buses, but the RER line is relatively close from the station to the palace, so it seems that many people use it.
The interior of the train has a motif of palaces and gardens. My heart dances! Travel time is approximately 40 minutes. I used to take the metro so much, so the view from the train window was fun! The residential area is fresh.
The glittering sightseeing spots are fun, but the suburban streets are a relief. I feel like I want to get there as soon as possible, and I feel like I want to continue riding. wide……! It takes about 10 minutes to walk out of the station.
Crowds of people gather in the world’s most luxurious palace from early morning. The history of the Palace of Versailles dates back to the late 17th century. It was built at the height of France’s absolute monarchy. The walls, ceiling, decorations, and interior are all truly luxurious. Above all, it’s too wide…!
There are over 700 rooms, ranging from a chapel to an opera theater. Including the garden, the site is more than 220 Tokyo Domes! That’s why it’s so vast…
This palace is the symbol of the authority of Louis XIV, who increased the power of the country by protecting industry and expanded its territory through wars of aggression. It clearly shows how powerful the king was.
On the other hand, when I think about the fact that 90% of the people suffered from heavy taxes and lived in poverty, I am acutely aware of why that authority was not eternal. It’s simply mesmerizing in its splendor, but one way to enjoy it is to think about its history.
Speaking of the Palace of Versailles, it is the Hall of Mirrors. beautiful……! Everyone here is fascinated by this beautiful scenery. I came to the garden. beautiful……! Found a fountain. The fusion of water and music is wonderful!
It is a beautiful garden full of nature, but it is surprising because it was originally a land with no trees or water. This is probably a testament to the power of Louis XIV, who commissioned its construction.
The fountains we saw were impressive enough, but apparently there is also a “Great Fountain Show” that recreates the entertainment of the time. Furthermore, the “Large Fountain Show at Night,” which is limited to summer and features water, music, and lights, also seems to be popular.
I gave up on it due to scheduling issues, but I’d like to go see it someday. It’s so beautiful that it’s hard to leave. The day you see the big fountain show, you might not be able to return home from Versailles. As I progressed further, I discovered the secret to beauty.
It is said that Louis XIV was very particular about this garden. During construction, he visited the site many times and gave detailed instructions, and even left a notebook called “Guide to the Palace of Versailles.”
The garden is so large that rental bicycles and small trains can run through it, and you’ll definitely want a guide. Actually, I don’t know where I’m walking (lol) It’s quite a huge site, and it’s quite difficult to go around it all. When you’re lost, you’ll see a cute customer! It’s soothing.
In the meantime, we arrived at the Trianon Palace. It seems to have existed since the time of Louis XIV, but the current exhibit seems to recreate the time of Marie Antoinette. It is just as gorgeous as the main shrine, but it has a feminine feel to it.
Rather than being extravagant, it gives the impression of being delicate and well-thought-out. The garden is cute too! It is said that while the palace was a public place, it was a private place for members of the royal family to take a break. It seems that Marie Antoinette also liked this separation.
It goes without saying that the main shrine is beautiful, but when it comes to daily life, it can sometimes feel a little suffocating. I feel like I can understand the feeling of missing the peaceful time in a villa. It was a relaxing nature. Take a break when you are exhausted.
Since it was in the evening, I was able to be seated without waiting. We walked around all day without taking a break. The cafe will soothe your tired body. I would like to relax on the terrace seat of Salmon and Broccoli Quiche Mont Blanc.
My husband is so tired that he doesn’t move at all (lol) That’s to be expected… I want to go home quietly. Before that, let’s take another break. Lots of flavors. It looked delicious from beginning to end, but I narrowed it down to four flavors. I want you to make it cute.
Hmmm, that’s great! I was so fulfilled that I almost forgot, but whether I cried or laughed, it was my last night. Walk around the streets of Paris. We talked a lot about what we had fun, what was delicious, and where we would like to go again.
By the time I was on my way home, it felt like tomorrow was already here, and I was left with nothing but regrets. This is proof that this trip became an asset for the couple. That’s all for today’s video. Thank you for watching till the end!
