I got 10 speed deraileur and 8 speed cassette. Right now the lowest and highest gears don’t work. Tried everything. How could I make it work? Appreciate any help

Nope, the amount of cable pull won’t match up. You need all 10 speed stuff. Chainring will probably work, but you want a 10 speed shifter, chain, and cassette.
