I didn’t want, need or get much for Christmas. All I could think of was a few BMX parts. A 28t guard sprocket for my Cult; a set of pegs for my Cult for when I switch to my new Eclat wheels off my Fly Proton, a pair of pedals, and…
A Cult seat, about which I have a question.
The seat came attached to the cardboard packaging via a slim nut. I’ve never had a nut on any pivotal or stealth pivotal seat before.
I can’t decide if this nut needs to be installed inside the seatpost once the seat is affixed, or whether it’s just a cheap nut used to fasten it to the packaging card.
Like I said no other seat I’ve ever bought has had a nut included. See one of the pics that will (hopefully) be included with this post to show the nut.
To my mind, if the seat required a nut to fix it in place, it would either need to be a nylok or it would require a split washer… this nut would just work loose and eventually fall off and rattle around in my frame.
Can anybody advise please?
Pics hopefully here. I never know if pics will show up with Reddit though…

The nut is just there to keep the card on. Remove nut, install seat. Happy Christmas
The nut just hold the cardboard, discard the nut and use just like a regular pivotal seat. Nice Christmas gear, you’re going to love those pedals. (Well I love mine) So much platform to stand on!
Neuter before installing. No nuts required.
Nope, not required it’s just to hold it onto the display/hanging card.
