Can't believe how the cars didnt see you. In the UK loads of cyclists ride around at night with no lighting, often on the wrong side of the road, suddenly jumping off kerbs.. they wouldnt last a second in the states.
You gotta see if you can make it across the country on a cheap Walmart bike. Take as many days as you need, I'm more interested in seeing if those bikes can handle that challenge.
After this adventure, how do you feel America could do better regarding cyclists and creating better infrastructure for lengthy rides, especially state-to-state or even cross-country rides?
Why are you two not wearing helmets? You bought a tent but no sleeping bags? Should have used the ACA maps and found a better route. Should have brought rain gear, gloves. You're lucky you didn't get hit by a car or get hypothermia. This should have been a walk in the park on ebikes. Instead it looks like a totally crazy journey that was unnecessarily life-threatening on numerous occasions. People ride bicycles safely across the US and do 4K with none of the craziness that you two got yourselves into.
I have an amazing friend, he was biking in total of about 9000km across the Europe, to get donations for sick children He published few books about his experience and of course every copy sold was donation for sick children Great man, I think he only likes bicycle more than me in my town
Top of the line electric bikes–Juiced e-bikes??? are you kidding. These are just another mail-order, no support bargain electric bike brand. The draw for them is that they are CHEAP. I see these bikes being featured on other websites. No doubt they are sponsoring you in some way, shape or form.
