In this video we visit the Los Angeles Metro after seeing the Moscow Subway system it would be nice to see the differences between two major cities in two different countries! Comment bellow one of the major differences you saw between them! Leave behind any thoughts or suggestions for future comparison videos!

Wait hold on can I we pause no [Music] and when I see all this right here I I can’t believe we’re in America I I I I just can’t believe when you see three people died in the building we can uh
Go around like this cuz there’s Los Angeles right there this actually is a better Street for a better view really look at you we can talk about that look at this welcome to Los Angeles you know we made a video in the city of Moscow showing the Metro
System well today we’re going to get to compare the Los Angeles metro with the Moscow Metro let’s go well I’m going to tell you something loose right away those escalators would you believe me if
I told you that the ones in Moscow are at least 10 times deeper than that than this one yeah all right well guys absolutely for everybody who’s watched the Moscow video you already know that the escalators you can see the light already in Moscow they are way bigger and I can’t wait for
Loose to experience them because when I first saw them it it blew my mind I can’t wait well Loose as we take the next uh escalators how much do you think it cost to use the Metro
Uh the subway in Moscow I would say like3 to4 maybe okay $3 to $4 that’s her guess the reason why she’s guessing that is because they told us that it cost $3.75 in Los Angeles right
Yeah well loose the actual price to use the metro in Moscow is0 50 you’re lying no no and not only that you guys know that is for all day as long as you stay on the line so you could basically
Drive I mean use the Metro all day underground if you if you wish to which if you wish to see every Metro station in Moscow you can see it for just 50 cents that’s insane considering that it’s
Like a museum under there I told you that’s what I tell the people it is a museum that’s wild wait a minute how do you just buy one ticket all right guys so like we said it’s 375 and the
Reason is why because you actually have to buy a TAP card a card that you have to use the Metro with is the same in Moscow it’s going to cost you $2 and then uh the base pair after that is $11.75
So we were wrong for the first time ever that you use the metro in Los Angeles it will cost you $3.75 biggest differences between Los Angeles people and Moscow people is we actually don’t use
The Metro so much here here in the United States we use the car a lot please comment below if you live in Moscow and you use cars I want to know how many of you guys in Moscow use the car rather than
Your guys’ Metro which is absolutely beautiful all right my friends we’re going to buy the tap card I’ll probably never use it this card again but we’re doing it for for you guys so we get to ride
That Subway all right so we’re going to do it in English um it says buy a tap a buy a TAP card um single and unlimited rides I mean no Metro oneway Trip 375 is due we’re going to pay now with our card debit all right let’s see what
Happens and there we go we got the car to use the Metro okay it’s a one-way ticket okay okay so I have to buy you one all right so let’s do that again guys I have to buy loose
One as well so we’ll do uh English buy a TAP card one way go another again all right so now we have uh both tap cards one is for loose one is for me we’re going to use this and show you as many stations as we can uh hopefully we
Can come back no we’re going to have to buy a two-ways yeah wow we just realized that I’m sorry guys anyways let’s go and side and wait for the Metro oh there goes the subway let’s see if it works guys nice she’s [Music] [Applause]
In all right I just have to explain what happened uh we just walked in loose tap hers in and a bunch of skater guys you guys saw them go by there the gate opened and I walked in without using my TAP
Card so there’s no security at all I don’t know why we paid I guess it’s free right what do you think about that uh I mean I kind of feel deated you feel like uh we should have not paid right
Yeah yeah the gate is open we just walked in we’re going to go wait for the Metro now see that gate that just opened people are opening it and going in and out they don’t care I feel like
We’re missing something here yeah I don’t is this the thing to do down here you just it looks clean though let’s show you guys what it looks like all right look at this look how nice it looks down here I’m actually impressed same it’s nice and clean there’s Godzilla that’s I guess that’s
Our our artwork and yeah our equivalent to what do you think it looks like in Moscow loose compare it to Moscow what do you think um I mean I think Moscow is more Grand yeah here is more like funny
I guess more entertainment I don’t know exactly yeah like artsy cuz you have ET here too and then you have I guess Frankenstein I don’t know who that is all right but yeah compared to Moscow
This is definitely like kids play all right we’re going to record this because we don’t want to get lost this is where we started from platform 2 Long Beach oh no I don’t know where we are
No we’re not this is where we’re we’re taking us to no this is where we are 7th Street Metro Metro where’d you go it looks actually very clean very clean I’m honestly surprised but you know what what we
Shouldn’t be so surprised because who uses this yeah nobody in Moscow actually it’s so much people waiting here maybe uh you’ll see maybe 40 to to 100 people come out yeah went to think about the
Ticket lines as well like to get this P it’s the next train it comes in 14 [Music] minutes CH one 14 to Santa Santa Monica so 7 minutes and Long Beach is 15 we’re here with a new guy a new
Friend that I found here at the Metro station with Steven I want to just ask you how often do you use this Metro I don’t really use it right now I just came I had had I’m not going to lie
I have a car but I just just to do some errands and right now yeah like sometimes the traffic everything be a [ __ ] but no it’s not even that right now like you could say I rarely use it but
Yeah to get around like sometimes it is convenient is it dangerous it’s not really dangerous but it is sketchy at night like you don’t want to be out at night cuz they’re just pure bums and like pure
Weird people out here like you don’t really catch too many people out here at night time but like the homeless to be honest right um I you know I was telling people in Moscow it’s almost from
Like 30 seconds to 1 minute and 30 seconds every time trains are just coming by how how often do you have to wait sometimes right here it it could be up to like um 10 to 15 minutes and in the night
Time to 20 to 30 minutes oh man that’s that’s ridiculous and you were telling me stories that like you people be robbing out here no well I I don’t know about that one but like me personally
I got I got robbed like on the the first of of November it was like a it was not that long ago like literally a couple like a month or two AG but I got robbed in the front of my house cuz
Well I have some crazy schedules but that time I do construction I had I was up already early I enter from 400 in the morning to 12:00 yeah so I was up I left my house like at 3:00 in the morning
And I leave my car right there at the bank cuz that’s where I for the parking my shit’s like a minute away from there so I I just go to my car like normally turn it on and while the car’s on
Like heating up I just throw my boots on and this guy randomly got me unsuspectedly and it was a Latino too yeah and he rob me with a gun and and that fo he pretty much nothing happened to me but
He took the car and then he got caught up though all right man well I hope that that you you know you you get a new car if you don’t have one I I got I got I got to I got to man it’s not even the
First time last year something similar happened but with two two two black people they rob me with the strap too yeah for a motorcycle I had I had a little mini bike but it was a built mini bike it
Will go fast as [ __ ] I’ll be going I’ll be in going I’ll be going everywhere with that [ __ ] like yeah and Compton it’s really popular like people be on Sundays on the street right there
On Compton people be like meeting up and [ __ ] it’s like a little like a hobby you could say yeah but they rob me for that one too man it sounds like you need to stay off the streets then n
Not even that but but it’s just like I got caught lacking at the wrong like literally like have you heard it like you being at the wrong place at the wrong time yeah yeah yeah yeah that part but yeah
Thank you so much man all right thank you man we’re here with uh a friend Leo uh my question to you is what do you think about the Moscow Metro System I think it’s really cool uh it’s like uh I
Think it’s the best or nearly the best uh of the all whole world nice I I agree with you I think it’s the best in the world actually now I also want to ask do you think that your Metro system
Is clean uh is it dirty inside or I think it’s very clean I excited for that how how can they do that yeah and now we’re here with vasili vasili how often do you use the Moscow Metro System all right he uses it every day because he has to obviously go
To university now a lot of people in Moscow a lot of the students can get on the Metro for free I’ve talked to quite a couple this is not so in the United States in
Los Angeles you have to pay a lot by the way how much do you pay for the for riding the Metro yeah guys look he uses a mirr card and and that makes it so he pays only 46 rues the original price though is 54 for the rest of us and I’ll tell
You what that’s the deal of the year because compare that to Los Angeles Sant well guys it seems that Los Angeles is very well connected there’s lines all the way from the San Fernando Valley to uh the coast on the south and it even goes to like Pasadena so actually Los Angeles is very well connected through the Subways but what I will tell you
Like that Steven uh that young man told us it takes sometimes 15 to 20 minutes to wait for your for your Metro this makes no sense to me I thought that every Metro in the world was like the one in Moscow where it’s every minute just non-stop but now I understand
Why not a lot of people are using the Metro it is very unique to Moscow guys just think about it we’re looking at sometimes like 12 people standing waiting for a train in Moscow it’s hundreds of people and hundreds of people come out all the time every minute
My friends uh so I was amazed at how clean this place was and loose was amazed too right yeah what did you expect I expected trash uh more homeless people smell to be a disaster and it’s
Nothing like that and it’s nothing like that you know we saw at skid R the complete opposite we thought you know clearly there has to be homeless people down here there has to be a lot of trash
But there isn’t now the interesting fact is this uh as you can see we have two police over there those guys are actually they they work for the city of Los Angeles they’re Los Angeles cops but
The interesting thing is this the MTA the Metro system has actually hired them to take care of this place it looks like they’re taking security very serious and they’re standing there and I feel absolutely safe we heard the story from Steven but I doubt that there’s anybody going to be robbing
Anybody while those guys are on guard all right l so now that you heard what uh the police said uh would you what do you feel well I feel like it’s absolutely safe here I don’t feel scared
To be here I feel like if I if I knew the routes and how to take this I would definitely still not take the metro system because the weight times are absolutely outrageous I mean 7 to 15 minutes
For one train it’s bizarre guys we wanted to take a train but it’s just it’s not worth it right not at all it’s like an hour exactly it’ll take us an hour to get to the next stop and then come
Back like all together because if we take the train and we’re waiting 20 minutes by the time we get to where we’re going we might have to wait 20 to 30 minutes we just never know but in Moscow
Loose there’s sometimes stations where you get on the train and you go and the platform’s in the middle so you actually don’t have to worry about missing the train or wanting to come back CU you just have to transfer to the other side and come right back wow that sounds definitely efficient
And I just feel like Los Angeles wasn’t made for public transportation at all that is beautifully said I believe the same um we’re like a car culture you know the the Russians in Moscow have like millions and millions of people depending on the Metro here you know it might even be less
Than 100 as we’re looking right yeah 100% as you can see guys it is like basically empty There is almost nobody here these are four lines as well there’s one on this side one on the opposite
Side and two more on the bottom and there seems to be less than even 50 people here are some of the biggest differences that we’ve noticed between the metro station in Moscow and Los Angeles number one the art that’s in Los Angeles is way lower level obviously because it’s a younger Metro now
Another thing is the amount of people that go on the Metro way more in Moscow in Los Angeles it’s not so much much I feel like that we’re going to cheat you because we’re not going to ride
The Metro but just please take my word for it it is just way too long today we don’t have enough time in the future episode we’re going to get to ride it uh maybe I’ll have loose pick me up
At an exit we didn’t know that it was like this you know this is the truth about the Los Angeles metro if you come not prepared you have problems like us we’re not able to ride it because it just
Takes too long now like we said we’re not going to ride the Metro but guys you know I’m pleasantly surprised with the metro in Los Angeles I bet a lot of you guys were thinking that it was going
To be absolutely disgusting I am guilty of that I thought it was going to be a like another skid row now we learned our lesson you need one of these I didn’t use it I’ll just leave it
Here well here you could have this and. 75 cents 1 second yeah let me get my money so since we’re not going to use uh the card we’re not going to ride the train it’s just easier to give the card
Away and you guys saw like people were just going in anyways there seems to be no control now the cops are on this side so people are not going to be able to go in but you know it’s totally free if
You’re coming at the right time nobody’s going to stop you well loose since we’re not riding the train it’s time to show them a little bit of what the streets look like again on in Los
Angeles as we make our way back to our car um look at these uh these escalators are so small really compared to the ones in Moscow but I will say you guys saw earlier that beautiful R piece
At the top we’re going to see it again come on I feel so bad guys uh hopefully you’re enjoying this video there’s the art again looks beautiful we’re making our way back out into the Los Angeles look at that we’re just going to walk back to our car and
You guys are coming with us this is what the streets of Los Angeles look like how do you feel about this adventure you know this is your first actual full adventure with me I absolutely love being with you uh-huh and I cherish the time we have together uh
It didn’t come out as planned but it was nice to see La with you given that we’ve lived in La for all of our lives and and to experience new things with you is absolutely amazing and to get to share with you guys as well sorry we didn’t get to write the subway
But that’s life yeah yeah definitely you know she hit a really good point we’ve never used the metro and we’re probably never going to use the Metro because I ain’t waiting that long I’m touching that dog no you know when you guys get to see the skid R Video you’re going to
See a lot of action guys like this right here huh the US Bank oh wow come this way look at that guys that is the tallest building legitimately in Los Angeles the US Bank Tower thing wow I am pleasantly surprised to see how clean the streets are uh compared
To Moscow it’s not that bad have you seen videos when I show Moscow yeah what do you think about it impeccably clean yeah and this is not that bad there’s a lot of uh random homeless people everywhere but actually not that
Dirty this is the views here in Los Angeles the sun is getting ready to set look at these buildings beautiful Southern California loose a common question that you guys asked in the live often is when are you going to
Russia so I want to make sure that it’s on video and you let people know when are you going to come visit us in Russia the plan is is this upcoming summer 2024 uh-huh now uh we are going to Moscow
Because that’s where I’m going to be staying right uh is there any uh way that you think you can come visit us in Lake Bal too of course I would like to go maybe in the winter yeah a lot of people
Said I can’t handle the the cold out there and I want to make it a a challenge that I will be able to and that is why by the way guys I even went to Siberia I wanted to challenge myself in the
Cold and you guys challenged loose on one of our Lives she’s going to go you know and last loose is there anything that you want to tell the people you know this is your first legitimate
Uh full video with us here on the channel um the people were really excited and uh you were really excited to tell me you know how happy you were um and it’s interesting you’re not nervous
At all what can you tell the the the viewers around the world uh privat Russia and I love you all all thank you for being so welcoming and the lives definitely made this easier for me so I
I I thank you all yeah but remember it’s not only Russians loose oh Bri the whole world I mean you can speak English for that Hol hello yes uh so guys I am so happy to have my sister here with
Me because we are missing senya usually I have a partner and in America it’s it’s my sister loose what do you think about that art piece over there on the wall what do you think about it
It’s really nice can we get some churros guys she’s been asking for chur Ros all day but she told me not to buy her junk food I did yeah we’re recording we’re recording I told you tomorrow we
Start a healthy fitness journey oh guess what it starts today loose it’s it’s never too late it’s never too early you’re going now that’s why because we didn’t get to ride the Metro I want
To show you guys a little bit part of the city here in downtown Los Angeles um because we are also comparing uh Los Angeles with Moscow like the streets and stuff like that because I’ve told you
Guys before uh the streets in Russia and Moscow are are certainly a lot cleaner than the ones in America but I’m so surprised at how clean it is today here in Los Angeles look at this we have
This beautiful Park here guys and I want you to ignore the like graffiti there because this is not good because I don’t know who did that but look at that view this building here reminds me of
One of the Seven Sisters that we have in Moscow uh they’re doing some construction but isn’t it beautiful welcome to LA [Music] you guys already know that in Siberia it’s already been winter for many months I am so surprised to find a skating ring in the center of Los Angeles
[Music] and guys so you know that in Siberia wherever there’s a puddle of water when it freezes you can go ice skating you can also go ice skating in Lake Bal for free well here in the United States you have to pay $20 to go ice skating in a
Small little ice ring in the middle of Los Angeles you really cool but too expensive right loose I’m so sorry just like the Metro this is a big disappointment there’s no way I’m paying $20 to ride ice skates you guys already know I’m bad and I’m going to take you
To the biggest ice skating ring in Russia it’s Lake Bal you’re going to come in winner let’s do it well I’m so happy loose that you came with me because I couldn’t do this alone uh the disappointment after disappointment you know but I will say it is clean right yeah absolutely
Clean and I am so thankful that it’s clean and we’re actually going to show you one last thing before we get out of here look at this sorry up here there’s a memorial to soldiers Isn’t that
Cool I’ve never seen a memorial in Los Angeles to soldiers or Veterans of anything this is a full full veteran uh memorial thing for some sort of War guys I had to get up here to read
What it says here because it’s so worn out it is not well-maintained you know I’ve told you guys before in America the you know the the memorials are not so well-maintained like they are in in Moscow especially but in Russia they take they take care of them for the most part this one
Here I had to read it like BR this is a gift from the government of France to the World War I veterans of the United States all right guys so for all of this I only paid around $4 which
Is pretty good because I got something Savory my pie with potato I got something sweet my cinnamon roll and I got a nice cappuccino medium one and I still have some change left over so I can go get
Some more if I’m still feeling hungry what about you Dan what did you get in your Cafe and from here we’re going to sign off guys if you want to watch a new video you can go here or here thank
You so much for joining me and loose on this adventure wait hold on can I we pause no and I will love you and I I will always love you I will always love [Music] you bye

I usually use suburban train because of my place of living and my office location. It's more useful for me to reach my office and come back home by this train, so I use the metro quite seldom. When I worked for another company, I used the metro each business day. It's complicated to go to work by car due to traffic jams. But it's what about me. Some people prefer own car to reach their destination
capitalism social transport vs communism social transport
The LACMTA does have a lot of island platforms just like Moscow, only all but one are island platforms for the subways, while island platforms make up over half of a line for light rails. Also artwork depends on the line or station. The station you went to had very little artwork which formed a line on the walls, but some stations such as Universal, Hollywood Vine, and Wilshire Western has artwork which can take up most or the entire station. Some lines are themed too such as the Gold/E Line which has coastal and Spanish themes, or the Orange/G Line which has a bit of a clean corporate theme with artwork on boards or platform
As far as I know, the Los Angeles subway withstood the earthquake of 1994
Show me how much freedom you have. Make a video about Putin kidnapping children from Ukraine
First of all. Moscow is the capital town right? You don`t want to tell me that any country would show up with a completely messed up metro. Second. This metro was built in soviet times. That means it was the bolsheviks interest to present themselfs at least in their biggest towns and specific in their capital town without flaw. And that you maybe don`t see that much homeless people etc. is simply because they are not allowed to run around in moscow center. It would disturb the nice picture. The russian regime knows exactly what to do to keep the picture nice as long as possible. In opposite to the States where the governments influence is limited in many parts and people have to work on their own to handle their lives you shouldn`t wonder when there is even not a payable public healthcare available that metros look the way they look like. But all in all the comparison makes no real sense because in the one system the state is almost absent and in the russian system the state is everything and orders everything and wants the russians also believe everything they are telling them. So when you see a nice metro as a reason to prefer russia over the states is thought much too short. So … don`t say the wrong things and they will at least leave you alone!! But … because you are americans ….. maybe in nearby future they are changing their mind and just take you hostage because you are simply US americans. Good luck!!
6:12 was the Best Part I'm Godzilla Fan since my childhood.
Marine, do you know what a "communal apartment" is? When these wonderful stations were built, most moscowvites lived in "communal apartments". Unlike the residents of L.A., who en general lived in their own houses and had 2 cars each. And now what is the minimum salary in California? And in Moscow? That's it. But the metro is beautiful, yes sir.
Hi, really enjoyed you contents, will be moving to Moscow next year, I'm very excited. People I know, tell me negative comments don't move to Russia it this and it's that.
I'm excited to show them it's a beautiful country, like how to show the world. Thank you and looking forward for more of your contents
❤❤❤
Daniel and Luz,
much appreciate your work!
sorry guys, Los Angeles metro had no chance against Moscow metro 🙂
You can tell one thing immediately: LA metro is QUIET. Sure, there are sounds of this and that, but all in all, it seems, like almost nobody uses it. It's sad, really. …and somewhat creepy.
Another thing: I think you're wrong about picking on the art. Personally, I don't think it's about quality OR quantity. Just look at that wall… Its art. It's awesome! You won't find anything like that in Russia. BUT, when you look around it…. Yeh… It turns into shit immediately. You have to think about the whole space: the entire thing should look coherent and awesome.
Look at this wall. LOOK AT IT! Here in Russia we don't have the people who can make smth as cool as that. BUT at the very same time look at the VERY SAME wall: it's a wall of a toilet!!! That's how here in Russia we would tile a toilet! A shitty one, sorry for the pun.
Working together seems like a better choice.
I use the car in Moscow on a daily basis, but if you need to get some place and be sure to make it just on time (especially during rush hours) – take the metro, Moscow's traffic is unpredictable.
Thanks Dan and Luz. Wow I was surprised at how clean the subway was…and by the ice skating rink!
I don't know if someone has already said this, but in Moscow we can charge our Troika cards through bank apps in our phones. You need the mashine to buy the card in the beginning but after that it'll just take you a minute to charge it anytime and anywhere just using your phone) very convenient
Great video. Reminiscing of the past, I'd like to add that it wasn't always very safe in Moscow. Some 20-30 years ago it was less so. Back then there were bums and more litter in Moscow. I once got down to a subway station, like, at 6 am (Metro is usu. open 6 am – 1 am) on Tverskaya street and some 20 or 30 street walkers entered the same train car. That was kind of funny. Nowadays, there's no street walkers in Moscow. Things have changed a lot. Back in the 90s, we used subway tokens and many people were going through without paying. There were also a lot of casinos in Moscow. And if you needed a taxi, you could just raise your hand, and regular cars would stop and offer a lift for a small fee, especially if their destination was not way off from yours. It was literally, like, you raise your hand and each tenth car or so would stop and you could bargain for a cheap ride. No waiting, no calling anywhere, and no traffic jams in Moskva in the 90s! Can you imagine! So, it wasn't all that bad; it was kind of funny.
Weak points of Moscow: there are huge traffic jams just like in other huge major cities, cold snowy winters, air pollution but it's less severe than in other megalopolises around the world.
What skidrow was you at?😂😂. I'll take you to the real skidroe. You was scared to go wasn't you? Had to be. I'm from Cali. My mother use to do missionary work in skidrow. THAT was NOT! SKIDROW. NEXT time really go. Don't be scared.
Anything here in US is so expensive.
And in Novosibirsk, the metro generally costs 0.28 cents 🙂
The three busiest metros in North America (2023): Mexico City, New York City and Montréal!
go to new york xD
Do not compare LA Metro & Moscow Metro. Msk is capital city.
Compare LA Metro & Saratov Metro or LA Metro vs Irkutsk Metro.
Like from me for this video.
The price of Moscow's beauty is devastation in the regions, dirt and miserable wages. Many residents cannot afford to go and see this Moscow beauty
Uncomparable between Los Angeles and Moscow ❤. Los Angeles is Art for kids, Moscow for beauty really Art.
