I had to go through a bit of mud today and despite scooping the mud out with my hands, it still rubbed some paint off the inside of the fork, etc. what’s the best thing to coat that with to prevent rust?

Any sort of clear coat should be fine. I’ve used a nail polish top coat since it comes with that little applicator brush.
